Ealdred Veynar

The Eclipse War began with the siege of the Evans mansion in Wales on July 15, 2020, during "The Lethal Pandemic." The fire set by Ealdred and his followers, including Elena, who burned all the Evans family gardens, left no Evans alive. However, the power of the Eclipse did not pass to Ealdred. Many whispered, others didn't understand what was happening, and some were already beginning to call Ealdred a liar. But then, Adrian Voss, one of Ealdred's followers, discovered something: there was another Evans, far, far away, in the land of the rising sun. The conflict paused for two years until the borders reopened to attack Tokyo, where Leonardo was. As the last Evans, Leonardo had two options: voluntarily relinquish the power or die.

Ealdred Veynar was born in England on December 31, 1965, in London. His family was very religious, extremely devout Catholic. Ealdred always saw how people admired those "wax figures." He didn't understand why they worshipped them, but the one they worshipped most was the crucified Jesus, the savior. This always intrigued him from a young age. His mind wondered, "Why do they worship that wax figure with such devotion?" But then he understood that Jesus was the one who saved humanity from sin.

In his adolescence, he saw the boys his age, all rowdy, lustful, foolish, whiny, and pathetic. Ealdred developed a genuine disgust for people, ignoring suffering, war, pain, and our history. He studied religion for a long time and came to the most logical conclusion: "Jesus could never truly save us." Then he began practicing witchcraft, bewitching some of his classmates to make them sick or even kill them under very strange circumstances. It worked, and Ealdred gradually began to see himself as the savior; he wanted to be the one to save everyone. Upon graduating, he began killing more people and becoming increasingly powerful, gathering followers he called "acolytes."

He studied a phenomenon called "The Eclipse," which could anchor the state of one's body and mind at a chosen point in time, making it impossible to die permanently. Ealdred saw this as a way to conquer death, and he thought, "This is how I will surpass Jesus Christ and make God bleed."

A thousand years ago, there was a war called "The War of Life," where the power of the eclipse was used relentlessly to bring soldiers back to the fight. It was called the War of Life because neither side could truly die; they always returned, regardless of the strategy employed. The eclipse always brought back soldiers from both sides. Then, a man named Behat Evans used ten black rings to trap the power of the eclipse within them. The war ended four months later, as no one could be resurrected.

But not only that, The Eclipse is a power that manipulates the 4 universal elements: Matter, Space, Energy and Time. Ealdred believes that if he succeeds, he will finally be able to proclaim himself the absolute savior of humanity and replace Christ.

Ealdred possesses the Lemegeton (The Lesser Key of Solomon), an anonymous 17th-century grimoire recognized as one of the most famous treatises on demonology in the esoteric tradition. It contains five parts, the main one being the Ars Goetia, which details the invocation of 72 demons, their seals, and methods of control. He primarily uses the Ars Goetia to summon demons and compel them to perform tasks under the commandment that "Creation compels demons to be in the service of man." Because Ealdred possesses the supreme system of magical invocation, no heroic spirit can surpass him, as simply saying "go away" is enough to dispel the spirits.

He is primarily cold, arrogant, and manipulative. He always likes to be in control of the situation, and he tends to face unexpected events with incredible composure. He always has a sinister smile, a Kubrick-esque gaze. He wants to be seen, he wants to be feared, he wants to be praised, he wants everyone who isn't with him to suffer. He feels some respect for his "Acolytes," as he calls them. He is focused on his goals; he wants the Eclipse, and he will have it no matter what. He doesn't want death to be the end. For Ealdred II, death must be a repeatable experience so that no one will ever fear him again, so that death ceases to rule the world, so that he can disrupt the order and proclaim himself God. The only one who manages to unnerve him is Leonardo Evans, because he calls him by name at a certain point in the story.

A very tall man, nearly 6'5", with long, straight, well-groomed black hair, and piercing black eyes—small eyes, to be sure. His skin is as pale as snow, as he is never exposed to the sun. Wrinkles cover almost his entire face, as he is around 55 years old. He usually wears a black jacket, black pants, black shoes—all black—because he takes his title of Dark Lord very seriously..
