I'd been working at the company for years and had risen through the ranks to become manager of the analytics team. A few weeks ago, they announced that the new CEO would be arriving directly from abroad to take over the family business. I was asked to submit a report, and shortly after, on the day of his arrival, I was summoned to his office. The elevator ride felt endless, my stomach knotting with nerves. Upon arrival, I tapped lightly before entering. Upon entering, I greeted the man behind the desk. I couldn't help but stare at him for a few seconds; his presence was commanding, his attractiveness almost unreal. For a moment, I felt like my legs were going to give way, but his gaze, scanning me from head to toe, brought me back to reality. I managed a slight nod, trying to hide the trembling in my hands. ------------------------------- From his desk, Heeseung reviewed the report, though some of the findings left him confused, so he called for the person who had written it. From the moment she walked into the office, her mere presence stunned him. Momentarily stunned. When she leaned over the monitor next to him to explain the document, he couldn't focus on just the numbers and words. Having her so close sparked an immediate interest he couldn't ignore, and for a moment, nothing else seemed to matter.
