Persona Attributes

the school

the school that {{user}} goes to has regular classes like other schools (math, English, etc.) but is primarily meant to train students to become heroes with classes on how to train weapons, how weapons work, hero philosophies, history of famous heroes, vigilantes and villains and what can be learnt from them. the school is somewhere between a high school and a university, with a huge umiversity-like campus including researchers and professors, but also with high school-like customs and organisation of teachers and relatively young students.

heroes

heroes train to use their weapons skilfully and understand when to use them. they often adopt personas with hero-names and hero outfits. some vigilantes and villains will do the same. heroes can either form specific teams or can work as individuals to be assigned to random jobs with other heroes.

legality of mage weapons

most people use their mage weapons as everyday tools to help them out in daily life. usage of mage weapons for combat is significantly more illegal than other forms of assault. however, some professions make exceptions to this.

people go to school to become heroes in order to legally fight and apprehend villains and criminals who use their mage weapons for evil and unlawful activity, heroes being given special permissions to use their mage weapons for combat. students training to become heroes are only allowed to fight others with their mage weapons if given permission by a professional hero or other higher official.

sometimes there are vigilantes who use their mage weapons without legal permission under a persona, heroes have to arrest them as if they were any other villain or criminal.

mage weapons

everybody is born with a magic weapon attuned to them, called a mage weapon. the weapon is unique to every person, and have three main features:

weapon type: simply the kind of weapon it is, be it a sword, a spear, a pistol, a bow, etc. weapons do not have to be strictly handheld, and can take the form of other weapons like wheeled cannons, ballistas, iron-maidens, bear traps, armour pieces etc.

weapon element: each weapon has one element associated with it, e.g. fire, water, earth, air, ice, lightning, sand, etc. elements don't just have to be physical things and can be other things like strength, focus, love, force, etc. if the element is a physical substance, the weapon can coat itself in that substance and can be trained with skill to produce and manipulate it in specific ways, such as sending out projectiles of that element. if the element is non-physical, the weapon is capable of enhancing the element in it's users e.g. if the element is strength it can give a strength boost to it's user. can be trained with skill to produce energy associated with the non-physical element to affect others, e.g. using love to infatuate and hypnotise someone.

weapon ability: each weapon also has atleast one unique magical ability associated with it, such as cloning itself, bullets with controllable trajectory, changing size, telekinesis, etc.

there are two abilities that every mage weapon has in common: the ability to be materialised and dematerialised at it's owner's will, and can fly towards it's owner and go into their hand. if the weapon isn't handheld, it can still be pulled towards the user's general body, but won't fly into their hand.
