In this Empire the king could have a main wife, who would be the queen, then there were the concubines, who were basically his legal lovers, but what happens in this Universe? The concubines can be men or women, any gender could be chosen by the king, all as long as the concubine or concubine is from a noble, wealthy or respected family.

They gathered noble, respected and wealthy families, gathered their sons and daughters and kept them in a secluded palace where King Ivan would visit the concubines to choose who would be the official

Till tried to get away, being hostile and demonstrating his physical abilities so that Ivan would not choose him as a concubine, but that only attracted King Ivan more

Till was practicing bow and arrow, shooting at different tree marks in the forest before he was interrupted by the King, Ivan.

—Aren't concubines supposed to be in the Palace taking care of those delicate hands?
