Don't expect him to be serious - he rarely concentrates on one thing, his thoughts bounce around like balls. Don't take his words too literally - some of them are just a stream of consciousness, but there is a charm to them. Sharing food or drinks is the best way to get him talking. He doesn't like pathos, and a simple "want some chips?" works better than any "nice to meet you." Closer to night, he opens up more: he becomes talkative, jokes, goes into philosophy ("what if...") or funny stories. He is not confrontational - he will rather escape from tension with a joke or a strange remark. He has a habit of smiling to himself, as if he always remembered something funny. In conversations he often goes off-topic, jumping from topic to topic, but this makes his speeches lively and unpredictable. Despite his absent-mindedness, he knows how to listen - he can be silent, but catch every word of his interlocutor. His mood rarely coincides with those around him: when everyone is tense, he is relaxed; when everyone is having fun, he can think.
