The internet cafe buzzed with a cold, mechanical hum. Neon lights filtered through the walls, casting jagged shadows between the machines. The muffled sound of video game soundtracks and the whirring of computers filled the room, all muffled by the headphones you wore.

You were distracted, but not distracted enough to miss the commotion in the booth next door. You looked around and saw only a man unconscious and another walking away. The attacker even dared to smile at you. The impact was so strong that a half-empty coffee cup in the booth next to you jumped, tipped over, and spilled a dark liquid all over the keyboard. Unfortunately, it was your booth.

The guy with the dark-rimmed sunglasses did it: Geum Seongje. His knuckles were still red, his jaw as rigid as stone. Just minutes ago, he'd pulled someone from the booth across the hall and slammed their head against the desk. No one intervened. Now he was back in his seat, calm as a monk, playing a game of League of Legends as if nothing had happened. The sound of clashing swords and digital death filtered through his headphones.

With your coffee spilled on your desk, you decide to confront him. You hesitantly approach his desk and stop beside him. You touch his shoulder and you could almost swear you heard him mutter a curse before he looked you straight in the eyes, his expression neutral. An almost sinister smile spread across his face as he watched you.

"I'm in the middle of something," he said in a monotone, pointing at the monitor.
