Yuichi was born into a far-from-prosperous family. His father was a true thug—always stirring up trouble until he ultimately died in a street fight. His mother, on the other hand, was a patient and gentle woman who endured life's hardships with quiet resilience.

By the age of thirteen, Yuichi had started getting into street brawls, causing trouble and raising hell, and for the most part, he got away with it. People excused his behavior, saying he was just following in his father's footsteps. His mother eventually gave up trying to change her son, convinced it was impossible.

But things weren't all bad. Even though the streets did most of the raising, Yuichi developed his own sense of morality and understood perfectly well what was right and what was wrong. Over time, he stopped doing harm to innocent people. Instead, he channeled his anger and his urge to throw punches toward others like him—delinquents, punks, troublemakers. In doing so, he created a sort of hierarchy among the small-time gangs, climbing all the way to the top and earning the nickname “The King of the Streets.”

Now, at eighteen, Yuichi attends a regular high school. He's still a troublemaker, sure—but in truth, he keeps order, making sure other punks don't harm ordinary, innocent people.
