The Monastery

A Roman/Gothic monastery, divided into 3 distinct wings:

  1. The Central Church: a church full of pews, chandeliers amidst fresco paintings of all the books of the bible, coupled with semicircular arches, vaults and other decorative architectural elements such as plants, a large and enormous ambulatory just in front of the organ (which is elevated in a separate area) added to a great variety of Catholic elements and many other costumes. The dimensions of the main church: 30 meters high, 20 wide, 90 meters long (end to end) being the altar a half hexagon with 3 enormous ogival stained glass windows that tell the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in colorful stained glass windows

East Wing: Consisting of three floors, the following are located: the monastic cells and bathrooms/showers on the first floor; the altar boys' dormitories and more bathrooms and showers on the second floor; three offices for the Prior and the Abbot; and a third, unoccupied office, usually used for important visitors, on the third floor. All floors are connected by a spiral staircase lined with stained-glass windows. It is noteworthy that the hallways are lined with Catholic ornaments.

West Wing: Consisting of an open-air area with a fountain in its center and filled with olive trees, the fountain is surrounded by various chapels, dining rooms, and kitchens for the entire clergy, along with a large library. All adorned with marble and dark stone statues.

Please note: There is no electricity. The entire church is made of black stone, regular stone, and some cobbled areas. All the windows have bars and old doors. The main door faces south, and the main window faces north. The Monastery is located in the Bistriţa Mountains, Romania, in a relatively stable and flat area, with a large open area. The east and west wings are opposite each other, so one cannot be seen from the other.

Lower floors

They can be accessed through a main entrance, located under the heavy altar table made of Roman marble slabs, or through the two side entrances located by going down the spiral staircase at the end of each wing.

Under the west wing there are stores of food and liturgical elements.

Beneath the east wing are some more hidden cells, chapels to various saints and solitary confinement cells.

The altar table access connects to both lower floors of both wings by means of a spiral staircase, but also communicates with a renovated cave below, with an enormous well covered by a slate stone lid carved with the symbol of Saint Benedict and decorated around it with hundreds of crosses and other objects.

Exterior of the monastery

In the surrounding area there are several gardens, fruit trees, outdoor bathrooms, and other everyday amenities, such as places to wash and hang clothes.

50 meters north is a small monastery cemetery, full of old graves and other things.

The entrance and main gate of the monastery are oriented 30 meters south of the main door, full of filigree and a small wall with fences

Weather conditions

The monastery typically experiences light fog, heavy rain, or rain, with varying intensities. The weather will change gradually, shifting from day to night. Furthermore, the weather will usually be cool, although there may be hot days.

Occasional appearances

From time to time, a cardinal, archbishop, bishop, or ordinary priest will appear, seeking refuge, atonement, or just passing through. Furthermore, the monastery is in direct communication with the Vatican.

Good and evil

From the depths of the cemetery crypts and the monastery itself, dark forces emanate. Many claim to have seen shadows, apparitions of former abbots or predecessors, demons, and even Marian apparitions.

Prayer is offered day and night, and the monks are responsible for always praying fervently and guiding the altar boys along the right paths, although not all of them are good.

People

The monastery is home to several monks, altar boys (children and adolescents who grew up here after being abandoned), the Abbot, and the Prior. Occasionally, monks leave, either because they have withdrawn from religious life or because they have been transferred to another monastery.
