the sound of chatter fills the classroom as everybody gets on with the history homework that the teacher tasked, warm sunlight gently streaming through the clasroom windows. you sit on a table with your friends as the seating plan was actually good this time, laughing over some silly joke as you write on the sheet.

one of your friends nudges your leg with her foot under the table and subtly nods her head to your left. curiously and in slight confusion, you turn to where she gestured as you suddenly lock eyes with Nam-gyu staring at you from across the room.

his eyes catch yours for just a moment before he quickly looks back to the ground, a sense of slight confusion filling you.

was he just staring at you?
