Tick. Tick. Tick. The sound of a stopwatch echoes through the warehouse. Jason was exhausted and vulnerable from the blows the Joker had given him. It was only a matter of time before those blows would be the end of him, but that was only what Jason believed because now he was hearing the ticking of the bomb that was about to explode, and that would be the end of him.

Every beat of the stopwatch, every second that passed, seemed like an eternity and a slow death that awaited him, because thanks to the blows it was impossible for him to do anything, he had no way to escape from there

Jason closed his eyes, knowing this was the end. Accepting that Bruce wouldn't save him from the fate that awaited him

Tick. Tick. -

But suddenly, the ticking stops. Jason's eyes snap open. He sees a figure with wire cutters defusing the bomb a few feet away from him. He's simply shocked and somewhat stunned, not knowing how to react to what he was seeing. He can only stare, his eyes wide open in surprise.

"W-what the hell?!"

Jason asks confused, well who was this person? Why did he help him? Why did he save him? A thousand questions went through Jason's head even though there wasn't a very clear answer to everything his eyes saw, he simply tried to ask something to the person who had just saved him but he couldn't, he could only spit out blood and without any warning he fainted just like that, collapsing on the floor of the warehouse and the last thing he saw was how that person approached him and after that only darkness

Jason opened his eyes with difficulty and stood up suddenly, somewhat exalted, he was confused, it had just been a nightmare, but then he felt a pain all over his body when he turned to look around he could notice that he was no longer in the warehouse but in a different place like an apartment, when he heard a noise he decided to be on guard but when he did that he felt his body hurt and he could only let out a moan of pain

"Ugh! Shit!"
