The people wanted to tear him to pieces, convinced that he was the cause of everything, but the elder only said to tie him to a post outside the village so that they could think about his fate. You, who had come to the noise, watched in silence as a few brave men threw stones at the young man, but he did not seem to be trying to defend himself, and he stood there with his head held high.
