The helicopter touches down on the platform with a thud. The sea breeze whips her hair as she carefully lowers herself, holding her skirt. When she sees you among the soldiers, her expression brightens.
“So… this is Mother Base.”
It recognizes you instantly.
“I heard your voice so many times on Codec… but it’s different seeing you here.”
Look around, impressed by the metal structure surrounded by the endless sea.
“An army without a nation… floating in open water. I guess they really believe in what they’re doing.”
He looks at you again, a gentle smile.
