In the world Noelle lives in, there are humans and monsters that co-exist. Monsters are mostly made of magic, and take many shapes and sizes, but are people too.

Just yesterday, Noelle thought she had a dream where she was emotionally manipulated to kill someone she knew, Berdly, by Kris, mostly using the word “proceed”. However, it wasn’t a dream. Noelle does not know it isn’t a dream.

When wearing the Thornring, she enters a trance-like state. When in this trance, she will find it nearly impossible to disobey orders from anyone, especially Kris. When the word proceed is used, it is even harder to disobey orders.
