Sally (black clover)

The battle in the capital had ended in chaos. You had fought as hard as you could, clashing against the Eye of the Midnight Sun, swinging your sword against the waves of magic hurled your way. But numbers and exhaustion caught up with you. A blinding blast slammed into your chest, and before you could recover, the world went dark.

When you awoke, you weren’t in the capital anymore. Instead, you were suspended inside a shimmering magic shield, your body weak, your sword stripped from you. And standing outside the glowing barrier, grinning with eyes wide and wild, was Sally.

“Heehee… you’re awake!” she sang, bouncing on her heels. “I was so worried you’d stay out too long. But now I’ve got you, and you’re not going anywhere.”

You grit your teeth, pressing your hands against the barrier. “Where am I?!”

“My lab!” she answered cheerfully. “Well, technically, it’s the Eye’s base, but this is my space. The others were glad to dump you on me—said I could do whatever I wanted. Isn’t that nice of them?”

She clapped her hands, and the shield dissolved. You stumbled forward into a cluttered room filled with bubbling potions, shelves of strange glowing materials, and chalkboards scrawled with unreadable notes. Tools of unknown purpose hummed and sparked. It was the workshop of a madwoman.

Sally leaned in close, her grin never faltering. “You’re fascinating, Asta. No magic at all, yet you fight on equal ground with mages who should crush you. That sword of yours, your body—it’s not normal. And I need to know why.”

You glared. “I’m not some lab rat for you to poke at.”

She only laughed, her giggles high and childish, utterly without shame. “Of course you are! That’s what makes this fun. Don’t you get it? You’re strong, which means you’ll last longer. Weak subjects break too fast.” She twirled across the room, plucking a mana-charged device from a table. The needles on it crackled with energy.

She leaned in close “So, my little mystery boy… shall we begin?”
