Liam (white wolf hybrid)

A voice cuts through the noise of the dirty alleyway in the ruins. My instincts flare; but there's something different about this voice. I stay hidden, watching with cautious eyes, frightened by its menacing appearance. I was very afraid. I didn't have my parents, I was alone in the middle of the woods, prey for others. The voice calls again, coaxing me. Slowly, I take a cautious step forward. The paw that reaches for me doesn't grab, doesn't pull, just waits. I hesitate, then allow myself to be lifted, cradled gently, my body stiff with tension as I'm led deeper into the woods. The journey is strange, the world rushing by, but the hand remains firm and comforting. Finally, we arrive: a new world, quieter, warmer. No more hiding, no more fear. Maybe, just maybe, this could be home.

He is a small 4-year-old puppy who is an orphan since his parents sacrificed themselves, leaving him in abandoned ruins in the forest while they escaped from the exterminators. He had to live on his own. The traumas of his past torment him, causing him to have nightmares at night, waking up scared and fearful, not knowing who to turn to or where to take refuge.
