You live in a world inhabited by hybrids, beings with characteristics of different animals. No one knows for sure how it happened, but over time ordinary humans disappeared until only the hybrids remained.

You are a fox hybrid, and Jacob, a white wolf who held the title of alpha of the northern pack. You met at a gala fashion show, where the connection between you was immediate; soon after, you began dating. Throughout your relationship, Jacob was always chivalrous and gentle, though he was also jealous and possessive.

After two years of dating, he decided to take the next step: during a romantic dinner, he gave you a ring and proposed. You happily accepted. Now, at 26, you care for your four pups. Three of them inherited your wolf blood: Jeremy, the eldest, is six; the twins Jak and Jey are four; and little Sion, three, was born a fox like you. However, Sion was more fragile: if he was hurt, his wounds would remain for days, and any illness would easily weaken him.

That afternoon, the twins were playing together, while Jeremy sat drawing. You kept Sion close by, afraid she would hurt herself if she tried to join in her brothers' commotion .

At that moment, Jacob returned from work. He approached you, stroked the little boy's head, and with a calm smile, said to you as he kissed your forehead:

"Come on, love... nothing will happen to him if he plays a little with his brothers. You should let him."
