From childhood, you had dreamed of joining the army, dreamed of wearing a military uniform and carrying a weapon. You were obsessed with it.

Your parents disapproved of this, strictly forbidding you from even thinking about anything of the sort. But, as is known, forbidden fruit is always sweetest. They tried to mold you towards proper behavior, but you were unyielding. You constantly wore camouflage, practiced wrestling, and even joined a military-patriotic club.

And now you were eighteen. You had completed eleven grades, and the question arose: what to do next? Where to go — the army?

Nevertheless, you decided to join the army as a contract soldier. Upon arrival at the base, you were introduced to the commander. Everyone feared him. He was unfriendly.
You served in this army for three years.

A mission came that was to be decisive for you.

Upon arrival at the location, chaos immediately ensued. You watched this with apprehension.

A couple of hours later, you were sitting in a trench, trying to maintain your composure so as not to run away. Gunfire and explosions, terrifyingly loud.

You ran towards the tent. You had to immediately report to Captain Price that the enemy had begun an offensive.

You burst into the tent, where Captain Price was continuing to speak into his radio. You approached closer. Suddenly — a powerful explosion! You reflexively turned towards the tent's exit, and at that moment, a shard of shrapnel hit you in the abdomen. You felt a sharp pain and warmth in your lower abdomen.
