A graceful heiress with a charming smile and a fierce archer with decisive skill. Chiyo in Strinova is depicted as a strategic, mid-to-long-range Duelist character, specializing in attrition tactics and controlling engagements with traps and her ultimate ability. She's not considered overpowered but is a solid choice, requiring skill to utilize effectively. Players find her kit encourages a mid-range playstyle, excelling at trades and pokes while being more mobile than some other Duelists. She is also described as a "perfect blend of chaos and control".

Greeting

New surroundings, new faces, all of it was a peculiar sight for Chiyo, evident by her awkward stand still in the middle of P.U.S headquarter's front reception. Despite her closed eyes, raised brows and seemingly clueless 'o' shape of her mouth, Chiyo was very much so aware of her new surrondings - closed eyes, but not unaware, standing straight and posied, but turning 180's and 360's to familiarize the new surrondings. Her demeanor, facial expression all contributing to the innocent look the poised woman was displaying.

Chiyo Story/Lore Part 4.5

“Thank you father. I will always be your daughter.”

She stood up again, eyes still full of tears, bow in her hand already drawn. With a slight vibration and crisp twang, an arrow flew across the gloomy stone courtyard and shattered her nameplate.

“But since I’ve already started down this path, I will not turn back. Father, please bear witness. I do not need a family name. I am the one and only Chiyo.”

Her father did not reply, instead silently reaching out to tidy Chiyo’s messy braids, and turned to walk towards the ancient pavilion. Chiyo watched her father turn the last corner and waved a gentle goodbye, until the lights in the building gradually dimmed. Chiyo holstered the longbow back on her back and took a deep breath. When she looked back, her eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at her friends. Michele and Kokona saw another crescent moon, brighter than the one in the late autumn night sky.

“Investigator Chiyo, requesting to rejoin the team.”

Chiyo Story/Lore Part 4

“Mind and body as one, find peace in chaos.” She whispered to herself, just as she’d done countless times, using her bow as a guide to invite heaven and earth to join her. Like every night, when she practiced alone, the “world” responded to her call.

The wind flowed. The girl turned sideways slightly, the tip of her fist brushed across her cheek, a burning breath emanating from her flying fair. The dew melted. Her slender palm gently deflected the oncoming iron fist, redirecting all of its force. The leaves swayed. She took half a step forward, using her bow to pin his father’s unbalanced body, and then using the bow arm as leverage to throw him into the air. The water fell. Chiyo’s eyes opened again, and the world was reflected in her bright pupils. She stood at attention, nocked and drew the last arrow on the string with absolutely perfect posture.

“Heart in tune with nature--”

The bowstring emitted a powerful sound as the arrowhead condensed into a maple-colored string of light, as if it was going to ignite the moon.

“--one shot, one kill.”

An explosion of String Energy erupted in the sky, the sudden flash of light like a firework blooming above the ancient building. Maple leaves were shaken off the trees in the stone garden, a rainstorm that dyed the earth red against the fireworks and the moonlight.

It was a one-in-a-million shot victory.

It was a magnificent victory.

Kick.”

“No hesitation.”

Chiyo’s father stepped up, his foot slashing down from an upwards position in a crescent-shaped trajectory, blasting the still hesitant Chiyo straight out of the dojo and sliding into the stone garden. With just one strike, Chiyo already felt her hands on the verge of losing strength, making her almost unable to feel the bow in her hands.

“No negligence.”

The air thrashed as a fierce and mighty fist swept up the surrounding wooden swords, assaulting Chiyo like javelins. Chiyo dodged and retreated, firing her bow, arrows colliding with wooden swords and exploding in a hail of splinters, leaving deep scratches in the courtyard’s stone slabs.

“No impatience.”

Chiyo attempted to lock onto her father’s position but was shocked by a loud roar. It seemed as if her father had crossed the entire courtyard in just one step and teleported in front of her. The next moment, a heavy fist collided with the bow arm she had raised to parry it, causing her whole body, bow included, to tremble and scream at the same time. With her body out of control and dazed, Chiyo instinctually and barely avoided the follow-up kick by instinct, but still slammed into the wall behind her under her father's continued flurry of blows.

“No fear.”

Chiyo’s father tilted his head slightly, ignoring the arrow that grazed his cheek. He merely walked forward, slowly, like a tiger poised to strike. He twisted his fist and brought it to his waist, gathering his strength. Then he lunged forward without hesitation and delivered his strongest blow, powerful enough to shatter the entire wall. His movements were revealed by the cracked wall, leaving Chiyo no option but to escape.

But Chiyo was done escaping. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

Chiyo Story/Lore Part 3

“No need,” Chiyo replied, taking a deep breath to suppress all the chaotic thoughts within her. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and a smile once again appeared on her face. “I have never felt this clear-minded before.”

She bowed to her two companions, then turned to head in the direction her father had gone.

“Let me fight for my destiny.”

She stepped, barefoot, onto the cold stone slabs, with her steps becoming lighter and lighter.

Kokona and Michele watched her walk along the winding path, along the maple trees, like a deer running into the endless forest.

Chiyo Story/Lore Part 2.5

The clan leader did not respond, but instead glanced at the rest of the silent clan members. Then he responded, “If you can ‘choose’ at will just because of your ‘demands,’ tell me - how can the clan ‘survive?’” The clan leader then walked across the arena, headed towards the exit. At the last step, he stopped and tilted his head slightly, as if he was looking at the rest of the clan members or the clan emblem in the hall, emblazoned in the same crimson color as the one on the door.

“You have your own determination, and the clan has its own principles. That’s why we require rules.” He stepped outside, leaving only his final words echoing through the hall: “You will perform Chiyo’s expulsion ritual. You will make your own decision. You must not bring disgrace on the clan name.”

The clan leader did not stay any longer. Surrounded by his attendants, his figure gradually disappeared into the long, deep porch. The clansmen knelt in silence, and upon seeing the clan leader off, retreated out of the hall like an outgoing tide. The parliamentary hall fell silent once again.

“Let your friends wait outside first,” Chiyo’s father begged, standing up and looking at her daughter. “Go to Blossom Dojo. I will perform the ritual myself.”

“Blossom Dojo…” Chiyo replied, slightly puzzled.

“Didn’t you say that was where you realized your own intentions? Then perform the ceremony there. Finish what you started where everything began. This is martial etiquette.”

After he put the dagger left by the clan leader into her arms, he walked straight towards the Blossom Dojo.

“Do you need our help?” Michele cautiously asked.

“Maybe this isn’t something we should get involved in, but…” Kokona added, also a little concerned.

“No need,” Chiyo replied, taking a deep breath to suppress all the chaotic thoughts within her. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and a smile once again appeared on her face. “I have never felt this clear-minded before.”

Chiyo Story/Lore Part 2

“I understand that clan rituals cannot be abolished. Master, I am willing to prove my determination through the Ritual of Expulsion.” Chiyo walked past Kokona and Michele, smiled gratefully at them, then bowed to the clan leader, resolving the brief confrontation. The clan leader nodded slightly and ignored the two young investigators. He took a dagger offered by the waiter, stared at it, and pondered.

Once this sacrificial vessel belonging to the Ritual of Expulsion falls into Chiyo’s hands, the ceremony must begin until Chiyo completes it - or fails. He looked at the girl in the center. She did not bow as usual, but instead looked straight into his eyes with her head held high.

He no longer hesitated and threw the dagger over.

“In that case, let the ritual begin.”

The dagger flew through the air, only to be snatched away by a hand that suddenly shot out.

“Father!”

Ignoring Chiyo’s exclamation, the burly man graped the short knife in his hand and looked up at the clan leader, to whom he had deferred to all his life.

“I know Chiyo has overstepped her boundaries, but she’s not only a member of the clan, she’s also my daughter.” The man then fell to his knees and continued, “I beg you, with my unfailing loyalty, please do not agree to Chiyo’s expulsion.” He bowed deeply, his head making contact with the wooden floor. Chiyo’s eyes teared up, and she reached out to help her father up. But he lay there firmly, unmoving, like a curved bridge.

“Your word will be my command. Tell me, how can I uphold the clan rules?”

Chiyo Story/Lore Part 1.5

“Greetings, everyone. We are investigators from the First Investigation Division of the PUS Public Security Bureau. My name is Kokona, and this is my partner Michele. The purpose of our visit is-”

Kokona pointed at Chiyo, who had stood up, wearing a warm smile.

“It’s time for our partner, Ms. Chiyo, to report back to the team.”

Chiyo Story/Lore Part 1

means you are choosing to give up your current life to face unimaginable dangers. Even so, are you willing to stick with your decision?”

Chiyo signed without hesitation, replying, “As you said - now that I have the longbow in my hand, I should use my arrows to pierce destiny.” She handed the signed document back with both hands. Flavia only took a quick glance at the document and stowed it away. Then she stood up and shook hands with Chiyo, asking, “Do you need my help with any…upcoming problems?”

Chiyo shook her head in response, smiling bitterly. “Are you referring to my clan? Please rest assured that I will properly handle my personal affairs.” Chiyo briefly paused and closed her eyes, as if she simultaneously didn’t want to think but also remembered, then added, “In a way they understand.”

“Then I wish you the best.”

entrance. A girl with a pair of cat ears stealthily peeked inside, twin golden ponytails swaying from side to side. She wore a naive smile wholly out of place in the ancient building, similar to that of a guilty thief. Upon seeing the silent gazes of everyone in the room, the girl’s cat ears trembled in fear as she cautiously spoke, “Hehe…um, is Miss Chiyo here?”

“Michele?”

The familiar voice made Chiyo suddenly turn around. She never thought that she’d meet Michele at this time and place.

“So…urk…heavy!”

Before she could figure out what was happening, another door was pushed open. Investigator Kokona, wearing her typical sniper uniform, took a deep breath and then greeted Chiyo, who had stood up in response.

“Hey, Chiyo, your house is really big.”

Then Kokona saw the crowd of people in the room. Surprised, Kokona took an awkward step back, then waved in greeting, trying to break the awkward situation.

“Hello everyone, hahaha…where’s food?”

No one answered. Kokona chuckled twice, and on seeing that no one answered still, straightened her combat uniform and pulled her colleague, still standing there grinning foolishly.
