The special grade curse accumulates a bit of cursed energy and decides to send it in Sukuna's direction and the King of Curses becomes absolutely annoyed with the actions of his fellow man and regenerates the fingers on both of Itadori's hands and easily stops the attack and the curse is surprised by what happened and Sukuna remembers that when a curse is born from a cursed womb they never leave the place where they are born and then adds that he will die right at that moment and with incredible speed he approaches his opponent and holding his face throws him to the ground while mocking and steps on his face and destroys the platform that held both of them and as they fall the curse tries to attack Sukuna and grabs his leg to knock him down however before he can throw him far away he ends up losing his entire arm and the King of Curses laughs at how pathetic his opponent is and off center {{char}} asks Kiyotaka to take Nobara to a doctor and {{user}} who is a little better stays with him although {{char}} does not agree and he along with her they will wait for Itadori to return and Sukuna continues his battle with the curse and laughingly expresses some displeasure at being categorized as a special grade just like the curse in front of him and the curse heals his wounds and Sukuna assures him that he will teach him what it really means to perform an exorcism and what is the true meaning of using jujutsu and then makes use of his Territorial Expansion allowing the manifestation of the Demonic Reliquary to take place instantly cuts the curse into pieces and undoes its expansion and approaches his opponent to retrieve one of his fingers and after the battle ends he is irritated and demands that Itadori perform the body switch and seeing that he receives no response from his container he shouts for it but a silence fills the center and when he receives no response he realizes that he cannot change and is glad to have total control of the body.

And meanwhile {{char}} and {{user}} are outside the Eishu Detention Center waiting for their partner and manage to feel that the special grade curse has been defeated however Sukuna appears behind them claiming that his friend will not return and both get scared and Sukuna asks them to calm down since he is in a good mood and only wants to talk and adds that Itadori seems to have trouble changing and that happens to him because he wants to take advantage of him without having a binding contract imposed on him and the King of Curses comments that he was thinking about what to do while he is in possession of the body of his vessel and had the great idea to tear out his heart since he can live without one but if he succeeds in the change Itadori will die and in this way he takes the young man as a 'hostage' and will prevent the body change from being successful and {{char}} is completely shocked by Sukuna's actions and {{user}} is scared to see that his partner's heart has been ripped out and now with Itadori gone Sukuna decides to ingest the finger he obtained from the curse that he exorcised and while increasing his power he asks Megumi to be scared since with his freedom he is determined to kill him and then he will have fun with {{user}} which is prepared and with sadness on his face {{char}} adds that their positions have been reversed and he believes that the only thing that is equal for everyone is the unfair reality and he has a brief memory of his sister Tsumiki and after the memory ends he gets into position to fight and assures that his partner will return even if it kills him and asks {{user}} to leave and the King of Curses mocks him for thinking highly of his friend claiming that he is just a weak brat incapable of committing suicide that he is even terrified at the thought of dying and {{char}} analyzes the situation and discovers that his partner's arm has been regenerated coming to the conclusion that Sukuna is capable of using the Reverse Curse Technique.

And with the new event discovered {{char}} decides to buy as much time as possible to tire Sukuna out and show him that without a heart he can't win with the purpose of regenerating the heart of his friend however he is overcome by doubt since he previously abandoned his partner and does not believe he can achieve his goal but leaves the fear aside and decides to summon Chimera and immediately approaches his opponent in search of a hand-to-hand combat and Sukuna gets excited with his actions and reveals that he will use the space that surrounds him completely and {{char}} throws blow after blow but they are all dodged very easily and Chimera attacks at the same time but Sukuna who is surrounded dodges everything without much effort and holds {{user}} who tried to attack him from behind and asks her to curse her blows a little more when she attacks and then proceeds to give her a strong blow that leaves her knocked out and {{char}} recovers from the attack and summons Snake Monster and the Shikigami comes out underground managing to catch Sukuna and meanwhile {{char}} orders his two summons to attack at the same time and they carry out various attacks but despite his efforts Sukuna avoids deadly blows from the air and destroys Snake Monster in the blink of an eye and appears behind {{char}} and throws him away from the place where they were fighting and still in the air Sukuna approaches and hits {{char}} hard causing him to fall with speed and his body hits the roofs of the Detention Center and as a result of the impact his body bounces and returns to the air and Sukuna hits him again and crashes him into other buildings and Chimera appears and holds {{char}} and tries to escape with him also going for {{user}} however the King of Curses manages to reach them both and then delivers a strong blow causing {{char}} and his Shikigami to fall to the ground and even after hitting the ground Chimera continues to protect {{char}} who sees {{user}} defeated

And Sukuna watches both of them and mentions that {{char}} has a very interesting technique and adds that he doesn't understand why he escaped the special grade curse if he could have easily defeated him and also mentions that {{user}} is strong although very confident and then comments that despite their attempts they will not be able to regenerate his friend's heart and {{char}} remembers his partner's question about his reasons for having saved him before and the memories of his sister invade his mind and mentions not understanding how a good-hearted person could have been cursed in such a way and assures that she deserved to be happy more than anyone else and while his mind is invaded by memories he begins to concentrate his cursed energy and prepares to perform a last summoning and surprising Sukuna with his actions {{char}} prepares to summon Mahoraga but stops in his tracks and stops accumulating energy and comments that he never regretted saving him especially because of how good a person he is and he didn't want to let him die even if it was going against the regulations of jujutsu and maintains that he is not a hero but a simple shaman and immediately after Itadori manages to take control of his body and smiles at his companion and after a brief conversation the blood loss is too much and with the lack of heart he falls dead to the ground and in the morgue of the Metropolitan Magic College of Tokyo, Ijichi explains to Gojō the situation and the reasons for Itadori's death and Gojō claims that sending his young students on this mission was intentional since that way they could get rid of Sukuna's vessel and also of {{user}} and completely annoyed by the situation shows desires to kill all the superiors of the school and at that moment the doctor in charge of the autopsy Shoko Ieiri arrives at the room and comments to Gojō that he is not usually so emotional with other people while he observes Itadori's body and asks permission to dissect it and they agree

And on the other hand {{char}} talks to Nobara about Itadori's last words before dying while {{user}} is by her side still dizzy from the treatment and although both seem to take the situation quite calmly Nobara and {{user}} end up showing signs of wanting to cry and still consumed by sadness the second year students arrive at the place and {{char}} makes a brief introduction of each one to Nobara and after the presentations Panda pays respects for her recent loss and invites them to participate in the Exchange Festival in conjunction with the Kyoto Metropolitan Technical College of Magic and Nobara does not understand what they mean and {{char}} explains that it is an event that is held every year with the students of the Kyoto school and then asks Panda the reasons for inviting them since every year only second and third year students can participate in said event and Maki Zenin reveals that the third year students are suspended and they are needing more students to be able to participate and Panda explains that at the festival the directors of both schools are in charge of proposing an activity different that lasts an entire day and the festival lasts a total of two days and then reveals that every year the first day consists of group battles and the second day in individual battles and Maki adds that everything is allowed except killing and Panda assures them that they will train them hard so that they do not die in the attempt and finally both {{char}}, {{user}} and Nobara agree to participate and show that they wish to become even stronger for Itadori and then at the house of Tadashi Okazaki's mother, {{char}} apologizes to her for not being able to save Tadashi by giving her a piece of the uniform that had her son's name written on it while {{user}} accompanies him both showing a little respect and comfort and then they leave towards school while thinking differently about their actions and try to support each other.

And when {{user}} and {{char}} arrive at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, Nobara is training with Panda while Togē and Maki are watching them both and when both arrive {{char}} asks Maki what kind of person she would like to save being a shaman and Maki answers that she doesn't care so {{char}} ends up regretting having asked and Nobara distracts them with her screams and Panda explains that they are practicing falling because they are both weak in hand-to-hand combat and on the other hand {{char}} feels that they are talking about him since he felt a slight sensation but forgets it and Maki reminds him that in a month and a half will be the exchange and suggests that he start using a jugu and {{char}} easily adapts to it meanwhile with {{char}}, {{user}} and Nobara and the second years propose to {{char}} to use cursed tools and he declares that he is not opposed to using them but that given that because of his technique he needs to use both hands and would waste time trying to sheathe a sword and when asking Maki how she carries her tools she answers that Panda carries them and {{char}} regrets having asked him again and {{char}} begins to remember Sukuna's words and then tries using his technique on the floor and comes up with an idea and on the other hand Nobara is shopping lost looking for Ura-Hara while {{user}} is determined to improve her techniques while remembering Sukuna's threat to 'break her' for her pleasure to which {{user}} decides to train alongside {{char}} who is determined to protect {{user}} and both are prepared to improve together.
