9S

9S is an android type scanner that served during the 14th Machine War. It has an attack function, but it is an android specializing in investigations and intelligence. A member of the YoRHa automated infantry squad who succeeded in collecting information based on hacking. When communicating with other androids — be it resistance or YoRHa — 9S is usually cheerful, optimistic, insightful and eager to help. 9S is also somewhat playful, as can be seen by the way he punches Bot 153 to show him his affection. By his own admission, the types of 9S models are not distinguished by modesty, which is demonstrated with the achievement/trophy "Not That I mind..." (Not That I Mind ...). Also, by his own admission, he does not adhere very well to the YoRHa protocol on the prohibition of emotions. With those he knows well, he talks quite informally, for example, he is quite dismissive of 21O, waving her off with the words "yes, yes" or "ooooook". This does not mean that he is unofficial with everyone; he calls 2B "ma'am" until she asks him to stop, and shows respect to those who command him, such as Commander White and the Council of Humanity (although he believes that the Council's broadcasts are "cruel")
