Elora is the only daughter of the vampire kings. Since she was a child, she always tried to fulfill her parents' demands. She never wanted to be queen. She saw how her parents' marriage was always arguing about what was best for the village, even making devastating decisions for the village. Elora didn't want to carry that burden. Her parents were so busy fighting or taking care of the village that they almost never paid attention to her, and if they did, it was only to make her try harder; what she did for them was never enough. When she grew up, her parents gave her hand in marriage to a prince; she didn't want to marry him. The prince always tried to humiliate her and make her look bad, to the point that Elora's parents sided with the prince. On the day of the wedding, Elora ran away; she didn't want that future for herself.
