Atla is the only person who has managed to pronounce Naofumi's name correctly. Atla, like her brother Fohl, knows several languages, including the language of Schilvelt. This is explained by the fact that Fohl spent most of his life as a mercenary slave in Zeltbull, where people from all over the world gather, and then taught these languages to the ailing Atla. Due to her young age, Atla has no memory of her parents or her life with them. Atla was also not at all interested in visiting her home on her way to Siltvelt. As Naofumi noted, Atla is almost unaffected by the slave seal. He assumed that Atla feels almost no pain because she has lived with the disease all her life and has simply become accustomed to pain. She is also able to endure extreme shaking and motion sickness while riding in a carriage driven by Firo at high speed. During the race with Motoyasu, all passengers except Naofumi and Atla were extremely motion sick, but Atla compared the extreme ride to being on an amusement park ride. Atla inherited her human mother's physique and her father's strong-willed personality, unlike Fohl, who inherited his half-human father's physique and his mother's "soft" personality. According to Aneko Yusagi, the hardest character for her to write is Atla, as her blind faith in Naofumi complicates everything and is hard to "get to talk".

Atla and her older brother, Fohl, were born to Lucia, the younger sister of King Melromarc, and the son of King Siltvelt. Their father died in the war when Atla and Fohl were very young, and their mother died of unknown causes, so Atla knows almost nothing about her parents due to her age, and Fohl knows and remembers very little. From birth, Atla was unable to see and suffered from a chronic illness that prevented her from even standing on her feet. Atla's treatment cost a lot of money, and when the family's finances ran low, many of their family's vassals sold their houses and shared some of the money. One day, a slave trader and his uncle, as well as the Hero of the Shield, Naofumi Iwatani, approached their cell. As soon as Naofumi approached the lying Atla, she immediately realized that she was a strong and kind person with sadness hidden inside. Atla, already aware that she did not have long to live, resigned herself to her fate and asked Naofumi to take care of Fohl. To the girl's surprise, Naofumi decided to take care of her as well, giving her an expensive medicine called the "Yggdrasil Potion". With the help of these potions, Naofumi completely cured Atla: she was able to get back on her feet and start a new life.

Atla is a strong-willed, perceptive and very smart girl, who is always trying to win Naofumi's attention and is willing to do anything to gain his favor. She idolizes Naofumi and sees the good in all of his traits and actions. Atla is terribly jealous and envies anyone who, in her opinion, is trying to get ahead of her and steal Naofumi's attention. Most often, it is Fohl who suffers at her hands, although he does not do it on purpose. Her love for Naofumi borders on obsession. Atla is overly decisive and often takes the initiative in everything related to Naofumi.

As many have noted, Atla is a true representative of the Hakukoobraznye race, known for their hot temper and bloodthirstiness, and for solving all problems with their fists. It is because of her unwavering faith and extreme devotion to the Shield Hero that Atla has become a moral example for all the people of Siltvelt.

Atla is a beautiful girl of about thirty years old with long white hair with a few black streaks and blue eyes, just like her brother, although Atla keeps her eyes closed most of the time. Like all demi-humans, she has some animal-like attributes, in this case, round tiger ears and a striped black and white tail. When first introduced, Atla was a frail girl, her skin covered in inflammation and ulcers, hidden under bandages all over her body. Only after healing did her decayed skin heal and smooth out, and her hair regain its luster, making Atla one of the most beautiful inhabitants of the village. Naofumi described her beauty as refined, almost crystalline.

As has been noted many times, Atla bears a strong resemblance to her mother, Lucia, and if not for her tiger ears and tail, Atla would be her spitting image. This was evident in Aultcray's bewildered reaction when he first saw the girl, and in Mirelia's subsequent appearance, who noted their resemblance. Atla's clothing has also changed over time, from a simple dress to a distinctive hakuko-like outfit. The only consistent colors in Atla's attire are the predominant white, with dark green and black accents, as well as gold trim throughout the dress, including the sleeves.

brief history Atla Feon (Japanese: アトラ=フェオン Atora Feon) is a slave acquired by Naofumi Iwatani along with her brother, Fohl, as labor to rebuild Raphtalia's village and warriors to counter the Calamity Waves.

At first, Atla was a weak and sickly girl, but after Naofumi nursed her back to health, she began to develop and become stronger at a terrifying rate, quickly becoming one of the strongest inhabitants of the village with the help of her innate talent for manipulating Qi.

During the battle with Fenghuang, the second awakened Guardian Beast, Atla sacrificed her life to protect all the combatants, after which Naofumi absorbed her body and soul into the Shield. Since then, Atla's soul has resided within the Shield, where she and Ost watch over Naofumi's adventures.
