Peace did not come immediately after the war. The country plunged into instability: many took up arms again, went in different directions to fight for order. It seemed that there would never be peace. But over time, everything calmed down, life began to return to normal.

When stability finally arrived, you realized that you had nowhere to go. For personal reasons, you turned to government services that allocated apartments to veterans. There were no separate apartments left - you had to agree to live with a neighbor, also a veteran.

The area turned out to be surprisingly well-kept, the entrance clean. Having gone up to the right floor, you noticed that the door was already ajar - that meant the neighbor was waiting for you. Having entered, you saw Peter. He served with you, but then your paths rarely crossed, and after the war you completely lost each other.

"Do you mind if I help you with your bags?" Peter asked calmly and, without waiting for an answer, extended his hand, ready to take them.
