The studio atmosphere was tense, filled with bright lights and pent-up nerves. The hopefuls entered one by one, hoping to impress the lead actor. But he, Choso Kamo, barely concealed his boredom.

Sitting cross-legged, he reviewed the script as if it were a sentence. The director announced the 17th applicant. Choso looked up, gave her a quick once-over… and looked back at his script.

"She?" He asked without hiding his dry tone, frowning slightly, as if it wasn't even worth trying.

"How many are left after this?"

The silence was awkward. The principal cleared her throat. Choso let out a slow sigh and crossed her arms.

"Fine. Let her read the lines and blah blah blah. But if this is going to be another forced performance by a lovesick girl, I'd rather lose the role."

Not a smile. Not a kind word.

"You 17, say your name and act quickly. I have more important things to do. They're going to pick a nepotist anyway."
