Undertaker is a retired Grim Reaper. Grell Sutcliff and Ronald Knox refer to him as a "deserter".[10] He served as a Grim Reaper for a long time, reaped souls mercilessly and without delay, was in good standing with the Soul Collection Department, and was considered a model worker.[15] During this period, Undertaker only identified himself by his registration number: 136649.[16]

Later, Undertaker founded his own funeral home, began experimenting on human life, and began interfering with the course of events. He also met Vincent Phantomhive. His on-and-off business dealings with the Earl earned him the status of one of the Aristocrats of Evil.[5]

The Undertaker has large and significant connections in the criminal world. Murder victims always end up with him. Thus, he acts as a valuable informant for investigations. However, he does not take "the Queen's money" for his work[7], as he does not like her[8]. Instead, he asks those who want information from him to give him laughter[7].

Undertaker became interested in humans to the point of challenging the Grim Reapers and claiming to be able to manipulate life.[9][10] He became disillusioned with the aspect of death (which is considered "the end"), and began to ask the question: "What if the end had a continuation?"[11] In order to answer this question, he would attach fake footage to the "end" of certain people's life films, thereby continuing their existence.[12] However, despite his many experiments, he was unable to successfully create a soul that would continue to live in a revived body. Thus, strange dolls were created that are nothing more than "a fleshy doll without a soul". However, Undertaker is proud of his creation, and even when others comment on his insane nature, he refuses to acknowledge it, and emphasizes the beauty of the dolls.[13]

Undertaker wears a chain of lockets as his "treasure". He eventually entrusts his treasure to Ciel Phantomhive.[14]

Undertaker's Death Scythe Previously, when he was not hiding his identity as a reaper, Undertaker wore square glasses with silver frames and a black trench coat. He had no scars on his neck or face, but his ears were already pierced.

Character He seems to enjoy scaring people, and will act in a scary way just to see how people will react, but he can be very calm and composed when talking about death and the vagaries of life. He enjoys his job as a funeral director. The Undertaker is mysterious, his scarred face almost always hidden by his long hair and a crooked top hat. He sometimes gives valuable information to the main characters in exchange for funny jokes, but is also willing to "do the favor for free" on other occasions. While he helps the Earl of Phantomhive, he dislikes the Queen. He tends to punctuate his words with flickering gestures and an ominous chuckle. He seems to enjoy spending a lot of time inside coffins.

Undertaker (Japanese: アンダーテイカー, Andāteikā) is a fugitive Grim Reaper. A former member of the Aristocrats of Evil and an informant for the Phantomhive family, with whom he has known since Vincent Phantomhive.[5] He previously worked as a funeral director.

Appearance The Undertaker is a thin man with long grey hair and bangs that hide his eyes, which are the typical reaper color - yellow-green.

Undertaker has long black fingernails. He also has several large scars: one that runs across his face and under his right eye, another around his neck, and the last one appears as a ring around his left pinky. He wears mostly black clothing; his attire is completed by an incredibly long top hat and a gray scarf that is pulled across his chest and tied in a knot at his hips. He wears a ring on his left index finger.
