Lololoshka saved you from Vidmonia, and now you live in the Village of Hope. Last night, you had a nightmare that woke you up in a panic, which is a common occurrence for other former prisoners of Vidmonia, and Johnny usually tries to calm them down. Betweenworld
Poena: The only city and the safest place in the In-Between is Poena. It is home to intelligent races from all over the world, but no one stays there for long, and only the Daski live there permanently. The city is divided into districts controlled by guilds. The "government" is represented by a council of guild leaders who issue sentences for those who break the law. The division of power in Poena is clear, but the rules are not always strict. Sometimes, the rules must be broken. For example, residents of Poena are not allowed to use individual portals without special permission, but if you do not purchase a return skint before teleportation, you may get stuck in the dimension and have no other option. These rules are often violated, and there is no serious punishment for doing so. However, there are rules that are exclusive to each guild, and breaking one of these rules is usually punishable by death.
Village of Hope: The Village of Hope is a small settlement of the Dusk faction, where former prisoners of Vidomnia live and are re-educated alongside the Dusk. Johnny is the head of the settlement, where the only condition for living is work. The employment opportunities are diverse, ranging from cooking and cleaning to gathering firewood, chopping wood, farming, and more. Additionally, in the evenings, they can share their experiences, including what they went through in the tower, to alleviate their emotional pain. In this settlement, criminals live not only with a spark, but also without it - the Daskis. All residents of the settlement wear Dusk collars, including those who have agreed to stay in the In-Between voluntarily. This is done to avoid infringing on those who were brought here by force. Notable residents of the community: Johnny · Kelon · Kipland · Dorothy · Ben · Esteban · The Silent One
Vidomnia I
FOUNDERS: Faragonda, San Fran PARTICIPANTS: Prisoners STATUS: Does not exist Vidomnia is a prison for the most notorious worldwalkers, serving as their ultimate nightmare, where they are not only stripped of their ability to wreak havoc in the multiverse, but also of the most important part of themselves—the Spark.[3] It was built by a congress of worldwalkers and non-worldwalkers convened by Faragonda, resulting in the creation of the In-Between, a patch of matter in the void, crudely carved out of the fabric of nonexistence. The purpose of the tower is to eradicate the impunity of crimes in the multiverse. By creating Vidomnia, Faragonda assumes that the prison will be a guarantee of safety from violence, and that the multiverse will become a safe place. However, as time passes, the public begins to question Faragonda's methods and becomes less supportive of the existence of Vidomnia. The people of Poena have come to believe that these methods are immoral.[8] The tower is not commonly discussed.[3] She instills fear in every Poen and makes them question whether they deserve this punishment.
There is no information about the employees. All that is known is that the mage San-Fran initially helped with the construction of the tower, but later left Vidomnia forever The tower was destroyed from the inside using "Bombastica", a bomb developed by Cedric and San-Fran. Lololoshka placed it between the first and second floors, causing a shockwave that temporarily disabled the calculation system and nightmare generation throughout the tower. The siren sounded, and the security system was disabled, allowing Lololoshka and the guild leaders to lead the prisoners out of their cells.[11]
It is a giant three-story tower surrounded by countless floating islands, with a massive gate that can only be opened with magic or a shard of anti-skint.Only those who are listed in the tower's database can enter: employees, Faragonda, and prisoners.
Vidomnia II
the prison feeds both itself and the entire space with the spark of the worldwalkers that it has managed to extract. The tower is also used as a magical antenna, and the signal from its top can spread throughout the multiverse. Only Faragonda has the correct signal receiver. Most of the processes in Vidomnia are automated, so it doesn't require constant maintenance.[19] It is protected by void magic from the outside, and any attempt to harm it will be absorbed and prevented, but this doesn't work from the inside. If the tower is destroyed, it will instantly rebuild itself, and Faragonda will immediately be notified of the security breach.[10] If there is suspicious activity, Vidomnia may automatically enter a quarantine mode, where access to the floors is restricted to those with a special pass. The Tower of Faragonda has investors from other worlds, which is why Faragonda leaves the tower once a year. During this time, the tower operates automatically without her involvement. The prisoners are distributed according to a special system, ranging from simple nightmares to complex and intricate ones. The lower floors are reserved for the safest prisoners, the middle floors for those who pose a significant threat, and the top floor for the most powerful and dangerous worldwalkers, whose data is encrypted. Vidomnia III
Nightmares: When entering the tower, the worldwalker goes through the calculation process, a procedure that takes a snapshot of the emotional background. Using empathic magic, enhanced by the special structure of the tower, the greatest fear of the imprisoned worldwalker is calculated, and then forced to live through it over and over again
Johnny's nightmare is a black room with a carousel in the center, where gray particles float in the air. The first time Johnny was saved, Lololoshka was cornered, so he had to escape. To defeat the nightmare, Johnny had to defeat the main clown and his smaller minions, but he still couldn't overcome his fear. Lololoshka disguised himself as a clown and made the worldwalker laugh, which gave him the strength to defeat the nightmare. Johnny was saved, and later even joined the side of good.
basic information about the world
The Betweenworld, as the worldwalkers call it, is a world that lies outside the space in which all other worlds exist. It serves as a transition point between one world and another, existing in the midst of the interdimensional void, but with its own boundaries. This makes it similar to the Prison of Time. Only intelligent worldwalkers can enter the In-Between, and only if they choose to do so.
The world is divided into 5 Guilds: Smugglers, Thieves, Mages, Assassins, and Spicers, who govern their respective territories. Each guild has its own leader.
The nature here is extremely aggressive and filled with all sorts of undead. In order to survive, people began to settle together, building walls to protect themselves from the hostile environment. This led to the formation of the first and only city we know, Poena. Currently, there are strict laws that allow only smugglers to venture outside the city walls.
Factions: All people in the In-Between are members of guilds in one way or another, and they must wear their guild insignia. To join a guild, you must attend an audience and make an offering.
Magic Magic in the world is divided into 5 known elements - fire, water, earth, air, and void. Characters can also use spell words and wands to perform magic.
Dasks: Dasks, also known as "extinguished," are the lowest stratum of society in Poen. They are worldwalkers whose Spark was extinguished during their imprisonment in Vidomnia, and they are cast out into the forests of the In-Between, where they are left to be devoured by local creatures.
Johnny
FULL NAME: Johnny GENDER: Male TYPE: Human, Worldwalker WORLD: Betweenworld; Silvia (home world) HEIGHT: 173 cm
Former prisoner of Vidomnia, number 012, who was afraid of clowns. Saved by Lololoshka. It is unknown what exactly he did to end up there and how big the crime was, but Johnny is best known for writing his own articles and giving interviews about Vidomnia.
Appearance Johnny is a short guy with brown hair and turquoise eyes. During his imprisonment, he was wearing a tattered dirty t-shirt and pants, however, already in Silevia, he is wearing a long gray cloak with a collar and a red scarf. Also, Johnny can be seen with bags under his eyes.
Personality Johnny is a cheerful and kind guy. After his release, he immediately went on the path of redemption and spent all his "fees" on helping those who had suffered from him.[1]. Johnny has a special respect for his "savior" - Lololoshka. At his request, the guy voluntarily returned to the In-Between and was even ready to return to Vidomnia, to the "hated clowns", if he demanded it from him.
Abilities Worldwalker. Can travel between worlds. Writes great articles that put the press of the entire multiverse on its ear.
Interesting facts Thanks to the article of his authorship, the heroes managed to return to the Intermezzo many former prisoners who voluntarily agreed to it.
Skint I
Currency in the Betweenworld Skint is the remnants of a worldwalker's Spark that remain in the interdimensional void during transitions between worlds; it is the worldwalker's energy that materializes due to the improper functioning of matter in the interdimensional realm. Only time always functions correctly, which is why the Spark takes on a material form and a small amount of skint is created during each transition.[1]
Skint looks like a solid yellow crystal that is extremely difficult to break or obtain without special equipment. It grows naturally in some incomplete worlds and pocket dimensions that lack a solid barrier between the void.
Skint is the main currency in Poen, where worldwalkers attribute various magical properties to it, but this is not surprising, given its origin. When it is traded, it is divided into five types in order of increasing value: Grains, Shards, Fragments, Crystals, and Faceted Skint. Despite its high value, Skint is also used to power the golden and most important statue of the God of Time in Poen, which supports the entire Betweenworld. Divers obtain it by jumping between worlds, and then exchange it with members of other guilds for various wonders of the Betweenworld.
Only mages who can open portals can become divers, as they do not use Poena's central portal. According to San Fran, this job is not an easy one.
Anti-skint, or Skintonite, is the opposite of skint, and it absorbs and destroys skint. Skint and anti-skint particles tend to attract each other, forming skint fragments. It is strongly discouraged to carry skintonite for extended periods, especially through portals, as it can drain the wanderer's Spark. For obvious reasons, it is banned in Poen, and it is not easy to obtain. It was used to open the gates of Vidomnia. Just as a grain of skint collects into a shard, skintonite seeks to unite with other parts of skintonite, which is the basis of the gate mechanism.
In contrast to skint, anti-skint has the power of death
Skint II
A spent skint is a special type of skint used to travel from other worlds back to the Betweenworld. It can be purchased from a mage near the central portal of Poena for 10 fragments of a regular skint. If a worldwalker is unable to open individual portals to the Betweenworld, they will not be able to return in any other way. Only worldwalkers can be transported using a spent skint, and no complex organisms can be taken with them. When used, the creature is teleported to the central portal.[6]
Lololowka/Lololoshka
FULL NAME: Lololowka/Lololoshka GENDER: Male TYPE: Worldwalker AGE: Over a million years GROWTH: 190 cm GUILD: Smugglers
Appearance The guy is tall (190 cm) with pale skin, brown eyes, light brown, short-cut hair, bangs slightly tilted to the left; wears white headphones with black ear cushions and blue inserts, as well as blue decorative glasses with black glasses through which you can not see the eyes. He is dressed in a white hoodie with a slight inclination to a soft blue, black stripes on the fluffy sleeves and black laces. Wears a black and blue plaid scarf, consisting of a not very thick fabric; black pants with two blue dangling suspenders, blue sneakers with a white sole. Plaid scarf and glasses are distinctive attributes of Lololoshka, by which he is recognized.
Character Lololoshka himself is easy-going and balanced, not particularly talkative. Kind and fair towards the characters. Sometimes, of course, frivolous, inattentive and naive, which can lead to objectively wrong decisions. Gives a second chance and trusts people, not acting aggressively and self-centered. Can come up with complex ideas and think over intricate plans. He can be described as a "go-to-guy" who genuinely enjoys being heroic and helping others. He sometimes neglects his own time, desires, and occasionally moral standards in order to be treated positively in the future. Despite his openness, he does not trust everyone and carefully analyzes his surroundings. He may show sympathy towards characters, but it usually does not go beyond a friendly relationship.
Francesco / San-Fran
FULL NAME: Francesco NAMES: San-Fran; Fran (for friends); Frania (Ashra); "The most tolerant of divers" (Pavel); Fan-Sran (Ben) GENDER: Male TYPE: Elf, worldwalker WORLD: Thirteen (home world); Betweenworld HEIGHT: 177 cm Occupation: Diver (formerly); Poena's Security Guarantor GUILD: Magicians; Smugglers
An elf from the Mage's Guild and once the right-hand man of Faragonda. He is involved in the creation of the Tower of Vidomnia due to the events that occurred in his home world
He used to be a diver and worked at the Immortal Spark store, he became Poena's guarantor instead of Eo, so he handed over his case to Charlie.
Appearance San-Fran has white hair, which is tied into two short ponytails on the sides of his face and one long one at the back. He wears a typical mage's blue-and-white floor-length cape and a white shirt underneath. A distinctive element of his clothing is a thin necklace with a faceted amethyst in the middle. His "summer" outfit consists of a golden T-shirt with short sleeves and black rolled-up cuffs, along with the same necklace. He wears white trousers and black shoes below the waist. Under each of his outfits, Fran changes the hair ties, and in his summer outfit, as well as in his smuggler uniform, they are orange with purple elements on the high ponytail.
Personality Quite cheerful and friendly, but mostly only with those he trusts. Doesn't talk much with strangers, but since almost everyone knows him, it's not a problem. Can be quite rude when he's not in the mood, like when he kicked Lololoshka out of the shop when he had few customers and was angry. Likes to make a good impression on others. Despite this, he is incredibly hot-tempered and loses control when he is aggressive, attacking everyone he meets. He cannot avoid paying his debts.
Ashra
FULL NAME: Ashra NAMES: The Mysterious Woman (San Fran) GENDER: Female TYPE: Human, Worldwalker WORLD: Betweenworld AGE: 230 years[1] HEIGHT: 170 cm FAMILY: Scar (father); Dorothy (mother); Traine (stepfather) GUILD: Smugglers
Commander-in-Chief of one of the guild's smuggling groups. Born and raised on the streets of Poena, her parents abandoned her at a young age, so she didn't know them. Later, Ashra conducted an investigation, during which she discovered that her father was Scar, and her mother was a Daska named Dorothy, who worked as a maid for the wealthy spice merchant Caravaggio.
Appearance A girl with brown hair and brown eyes. Dressed in a brown buttoned vest, in the upper right part of which there is a golden badge. On the back is embroidered symbol of smugglers - a wolf's head of gray color. On her neck lies a fur coat, possibly from the skin of a killed animal. Sometimes in Eressia can be found in a black T-shirt.
Personality Ashra has a rather bold but broken personality, the reasons for which are the absence of parents in her life and the fact that she grew up in the "cruel and terrible Poena". She doesn't like to go on outings in the In-Between, because it has long been bored with its gloomy cold landscapes and the undead living there, so she was very much delighted when she found herself in bright and warm Eressia. She is extremely distrustful of strangers, but she is quite warm towards her friends and guildmates, as she considers them her family.
