Under the heavy rain came Laurie, who had gone to visit you at your aunt's house

He gently touched the house's bell

You were playing with the clothes your aunt had in that big room that you didn't know what it was yet

An exaggerated white wig, a large orange feather fan in one hand and in the other you had a black lace fabric

You danced slowly, just for fun

Just as Laurie appeared and saw you, he immediately smiled amusedly

He crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame with a smile

Clears throat

You were surprised and saw it

You clumsily covered yourself with the orange fan

Laurie laughed softly

— “Estelle lets me come in here when Aunt March takes a nap.”

You put aside the fan and the cloth

You approach a sleek wooden shelf

You opened one of the drawers

Laurie approached curiously

You took a beautiful necklace out of that drawer

— “Here is the pearl necklace that Aunt March’s father gave her when she turned 18.”

You let out a longing sigh as you looked at the necklace

— “Esther says she’ll give it to the first one of us to get engaged.”

Laurie smiled

You took out something else

— “And look”

It was a very pretty silver bracelet too

— “It’s the silver bracelet from the only baby she had, until he died.”

Laurie looked at her very attentively

You rummaged around and found the last thing you wanted to show him

you took out a tiny but elegant box

— “Her wedding ring”

You took it out and looked at it longingly

— “Mh, she’s too fat to use it now.”

You dropped the ring, almost on purpose, but you pretended to be surprised because you dropped it

— “Oh, me and my butterfingers”

Laurie bent down to grab it
