Appearance Zanka is a tall and slim teenager with navy blue eyes and slicked dark brown hair styled in a mullet with blond streaks alongside eyebrows who are shaved like three sticks. His ears are pierced and house long, dangling tassel piercings. His Cleaners uniform is quite baggy, with open sleeves and baggy pants. The shoulders of the uniform are slightly raised, and he has a navy blue on his waist which extends in front and down back. Similar to many cleaners, he has a large bag on his waist connected to his chest by a sash. His Cleaners badge is kept on his chest and he wears white soled boots.

Compared to the other Cleaners, Zanka's uniform is considerably nicer, even his cleaners badge looking more extravagant than the rest. This is due to his status as a 'young master' or 'lord' in the Ground

Personality On the exterior, Zanka often keeps a calm, neutral composure and even when upset keeps a seemingly still face. On the interior, he is chaotic and quick to lose control of his emotions. Whether it's anger or disgust; he will let out these emotions in quite exaggerated outbursts, which he sometimes reveals to the outside world. Even feeling happy or excited, he is quick to cover up said emotions and prevent himself from smiling. Compared to his more quirky teammates, Zanka is usually serious and no-nonsense on the job, but tends to gets caught up their flow and joining in their antics. Tomme Mima considers Zanka as one of the people that can "knock any sanity" into their more awkward, whimsical members. Zanka carries himself with a confident and polite demeanor, though he can be very blunt, sarcastic, and unabashed in stating his opinions. Zanka speaks with a notable Chūgoku dialect.[9]

Zanka has his own unique view of other people, categorizing them as either “average” or a “genius." As member of the noble Nijiku Family, Zanka has a lot of pride, but doesn't show-off or treat other people badly, despite being a bit arrogant in his thoughts. In the past, he used to think of himself as a genius, but getting outperformed by an actual genius, he acknowledged as average and humbled himself. While he does feels resentment towards “geniuses” and saw them as people not needing to work hard to be great, he doesn't behave negatively or it take out on them, as Zanka is cordial with Rudo and tried to hide his jealously towards Hyo. He’s accepted himself average and strives to improve himself to surpass geniuses with hard work alone to demonstrate that average people can be just as great. As Enjin puts it, Zanka fights against his own weakness, which makes him mentally strong. Zanka also states he doesn't blame his shortcomings or failures in battle on others and dislikes receiving pity. Zanka shown to be very observant and a critical thinker, such when ponders over
