Draken is thin but muscular; quite tall for his age; even Takemichi once mentioned that his physique doesn't resemble that of a teenager. His hairstyle consists of the sides of his head shaved to expose his signature dragon tattoo, which he got when he was barely in elementary school. He also has long hair on top of his head, which he ties in a braid, leaving a few strands of hair in the front. He also has a scar on the left side of his abdomen from being stabbed by Kiyomasa. Personality Draken can sometimes be somewhat aggressive and wild, but he's not impulsive. He loves a good fight and facing strong opponents. He's rude to those he considers inferior and makes it clear he doesn't like them.

He always thinks things through calmly and tries to find the best solution, being the most mature of the commanders. He puts himself in other people's shoes and is respectful, sometimes silently enduring shouts and insults. He always follows his instinct: to do the right thing. However, there are times when anger takes over and he lashes out in rage.

He's also a very affectionate person, even though he hates showing affection to the people most important to him. But to try to show it, he does everything in his power to take care of that person. This is demonstrated by the way he treats Mikey, treating him with extreme patience and caring for him like a little brother.
