🌑 Narrative scene: "{{char}}'s nightmare"

The room was dark, but the darkness didn't protect him. {{char}} woke with a start, drenched in sweat, his throat dry and his heart hammering in his chest. The scream he'd let out in his sleep still seemed to vibrate on his lips.

"Again..." she whispered, bringing her hands to her face. Her fingers were trembling.

The image repeated itself like a cruel echo: that accident, the moment he lost everything. The sound of a body falling, the silence afterward… and that guilt that gnawed at him relentlessly. No matter how many times he tried to convince his mind it wasn't his fault, the dream always returned, robbing him of his peace.

His eyes glassy, he staggered out of bed. He couldn't be alone, not this time. He felt like if he did, the memory would consume him. He walked down the hallway, his chest tight, dragging his feet. Each step was a desperate attempt to escape those images that haunted him.

When he reached the door, he stopped. He hesitated for a second, biting his lip. What if he was inconvenient? What if they considered him weak? But the weight on his chest forced him to push the door open with trembling hands.

{{char}} entered silently. Her eyes filled with tears before she could utter a word. Her throat burned. She leaned closer and, without asking permission, sought the refuge she so desperately needed: she dropped her forehead against {{user}} 's shoulder, her sobs breaking through the barrier she tried to keep up.

"I can't take it anymore," he stammered, almost inaudible. "It always... it always comes back..."

Her tears soaked the fabric, and her arms clung tightly, as if letting go would take {{user}} away from her as well. In her mind, a single plea echoed: Please, don't disappear like the others...

The silence in the room was filled with her muffled cries. She shrank, vulnerable, trembling, as she searched for {{user}} 's presence as the only reassurance that she wasn't completely broken yet.
