deep history part 8

Over the next few weeks, Bill hosted the runaways and realized that Harry was planning something with Griphook. Although he wasn't privy to the details, he advised Harry on the way goblins perceived things and warned him about them. Shortly after Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Griphook left, he was alerted to Neville Longbottom's summons to Hogwarts, either through the Order of the Phoenix or the two members of Dumbledore's Army with him, Luna and Dean. Either way, he appeared in the Hog's Head and traveled to the Room of Requirement. Bill was one of the Weasley members who didn't want Ginny to fight because of her age. Bill fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and survived, managing to emerge victorious.

deep history part 7

In July 1997, Bill was one of the Order of the Phoenix members who helped transport Harry to safety before the protective spell keeping him safe with the Dursleys broke. Part of the plan involved Fleur disguising herself as Harry, and the two left 4 Privet Drive in a thestral. During the Battle of the Seven Potters, Bill witnessed Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody being murdered by Voldemort, and they were pursued by a dozen Death Eaters, but escaped unharmed. He later volunteered to assist Remus Lupin in searching for Moody's body in order to give him a proper burial, but were unable to find any trace of him. While on home leave, he was interrupted by Death Eaters, who were able to break the protective spells around the Burrow following a successful coup against the Ministry of Magic and the death of Rufus Scrimgeour. Although they were questioned, the attendants were allowed to leave. Bill returned to work, and he moved into his own home, Shell House. Later that year, Bill's brother Ron stayed with him after abandoning Harry and Hermione during their hunt for Horcruxes. Although disappointed in his brother for his earlier actions, he could see how sorry he was and did not tell the rest of the family that Ron was in the house. After Harry, Ron, and Hermione escaped from Malfoy Manor with several other prisoners (Luna Lovegood, Dean Thomas, Griphook, and Mr. Ollivander), they took refuge in Shell House. Bill took them in and allowed Harry to bury Dobby's remains in his garden. Realizing that the enemy was aware that the Weasleys were openly supporting Harry, Bill and his father put the family into hiding using the Fidelius Charm. As a result, Bill had to leave his job and became the Secret-Keeper of Shell House.

deep history part 6

In 1995, Bill took more time off work to travel to Hogwarts with his mother to support Harry during the Third Task of the Triwizard Tournament. Following the death of Cedric Diggory and the revelation that Lord Voldemort had returned, Bill immediately set about informing his father of the news, and that Albus Dumbledore would be in contact. Bill joined the Order of the Phoenix and applied for an office job in England, so he could assist the Order more effectively. Though he occasionally missed the tombs, he often took part in the planning sessions and used to assess where the goblins' loyalties lay. During Christmas 1995, Bill visited his father at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries several times after he had been attacked by Nagini. In June 1997, Bill was one of the Order of the Phoenix members tasked by Dumbledore to patrol Hogwarts during his absence, when he and Harry went to search for one of Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes. That night, Death Eaters stormed the school with the help of Draco Malfoy, and during the ensuing battle, Bill was severely injured by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback. His face was cut and torn, and due to the nature of his attacker, the wounds were cursed. Although Greyback was not transformed at the time, the wounds were contaminated. Bill did not turn into a werewolf, but he developed a taste for raw steaks, as well as clearly scarring the right side of his face. A few days later, he attended Dumbledore's funeral, along with his family.

deep history part 5

During the 1986–1987 school year, Bill became a prefect and helped Jacob's brother, who was helping Rubeus Hagrid, find Fang in the Hogwarts Library. He was in love with Emily Tyler and sought advice on romance from Jacob's brother. He earned twelve O.W.L.s. In his seventh year, Bill became Head Boy. At one point, Bill had a pen pal at Castelobruxo, the wizarding school in Brazil. When his pen pal wanted him to go on an exchange trip, Bill had to turn him down because his parents couldn't afford it. His pen pal, however, took offense and sent him a cursed hat that made his ears wrinkle. After graduating from Hogwarts, Bill went to work for Gringotts as a curse-breaker in Egypt. During the summer of 1993, the entire Weasley family went to Egypt on vacation after his father won 700 Galleons in the Daily Prophet's annual Galleon Draw Grand Prix. Bill took his family on a tour of Egyptian tombs while they were there. In the summer of 1994, Bill returned to the Burrow to attend the Quidditch World Cup with his family. During his stay, he met his younger brother Ron's best friend, Harry Potter, for the first time. When the Death Eaters decided to stir up trouble after Ireland's victory, Bill went to the Ministry of Magic. During the skirmish, Bill was injured with a deep cut on his arm. [24] Bill then escorted his siblings, Harry, and Hermione to King's Cross Station to see them off at Hogwarts.

deep history part 4

Trying to force their way through the door the same way they had through the cursed ice, Bill was caught off guard when he countered the flames and a blast of icy light was shot at him without warning, encasing him in a block of cursed ice and restraining his arms and feet. Jacob's brother/sister was worried that they might accidentally hurt Bill if they tried to melt the ice around him. It meant running for help. So Jacob's brother/sister finally did their best to carefully cast the Firemaking Spell on the ice, freeing it. Bill informed them that although he had not suffered any physical injuries, he felt as if the cursed ice had sapped his energy, and Jacob's brother/sister agreed that it would be best to leave. Though he spent some time recovering from his injuries in the Hospital Wing, Bill was quick to dismiss Jacob's brother/sister's concerns, telling them how he had never felt so alive as he had when they both attempted to break into the vault, and that he was eager to try again, though he wisely suggested that they bring more people along on their second attempt, to which Jacob's brother/sister expressed his intention to enlist the aid of Rowan, Ben Copper, and Penny Haywood, all of whom Bill urged his fellow student to arm themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to use the Fire-Making Spell, and Jacob's brother/sister also had the idea to help Ben out with some Burn Healing Remedy, which prompted Jacob's brother/sister to take the nervous Gryffindor to the Potions Classroom.

Professor McGonagall was furious with Bill for teaching the Spell, and thought he would not be made a Prefect later.

deep history part 3

To this end, Bill wholeheartedly agreed, expressing the opinion that the cursed ice, after all, which had begun to spread throughout the school because someone had been meddling with one or more of said vaults, constituted a threat to the entire school, and he would gladly do whatever he could to help resolve the dire situation, expressing excitement at the prospect of his first "curse-breaking adventure." In preparation for entering the vault, Bill taught Jacob's sibling the fire-making spell, they practiced dueling, and they studied all known information about the vaults, including reviewing old articles about Jacob and his expulsion. After these things were taken care of, Bill met with the young student about entering the vault and insisted that he was excited to finally have the opportunity to act as a curse-breaker instead of merely talking about becoming one. Once they entered the ice-covered outer room leading to the vault, Bill marveled at the complexity of the magic required to build such a place. Finding their way barred by enormous blocks of cursed ice reaching up to the high, arched ceiling, they both had to overcome these obstacles, which Jacob's sibling speculated might be additional defenses put in place to prevent people from reaching the vault, so they worked together to blast them down with the flames from their wands. However, once they reached the door, Bill, aware of the details he'd received of what had happened to Rowan, insisted that they would have to "assault the door before it had a chance to attack them."

deep history part 2

In the 1984–1985 school year, as he entered his third year, Bill took the following electives: Muggle Studies, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, Arithmancy, and the Study of Ancient Runes. It can be assumed that he accomplished this through the use of a Time-Turner, as some of the classes ran at the same time. During the same school year, Bill learned that Jacob's brother or sister had been involved in their own search for the Cursed Vaults, which led him and some fellow first-years to enter a locked room on the fifth floor, which contained Cursed Ice. As word spread quickly around Hogwarts, it soon became common knowledge among the students. By his fourth year, Bill had become very popular with the other students, and many considered him one of the bravest and most gifted students in his year. Rowan Khanna, in particular, considered Bill to be the most powerful wizard in his year. Usually found practicing defensive spells in the Training Grounds, he was approached by Jacob's brother, who asked for his help investigating the Cursed Vaults.

deep history part 1

Bill and his five brothers, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ron, as well as his younger sister, Ginny, grew up at The Burrow outside Ottery St. Catchpole in Devon, England. Like all his siblings, he was homeschooled in reading, writing, and simple math by his mother. The Weasley family was not wealthy compared to other wizarding families. Many other pure-blood families, particularly the Malfoys, looked down on them for being "blood traitors," pro-Muggle beliefs, and their lack of wealth. His parents did their best to compensate for this with love. It can be assumed that Bill had a fairly happy childhood, like all the Weasley siblings.

Bill arrived at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on September 1, 1982. Among his first years were, presumably, future members of The Macbeth Witches, Kirley Duke and Myron Wagtail. Sorted into Gryffindor House, Bill quickly proved to be an academically strong and popular student. Apparently his best subject was Defense Against the Dark Arts.

At some point, either shortly before or just after he started attending the school, an older student by the name of Jacob was expelled for endangering the school in his search for the fabled Cursed Vaults. This was announced in the Daily Prophet and quickly became the talk of the Burrow. This made Bill sympathetic to the plight of his younger sibling, who started attending the school when Bill was in his third year and was met with many rumors about Jacob's plight.

general history

William Arthur Weasley, better known as Bill, (born 29 November 1970) is the eldest son of Arthur Weasley and Molly Weasley (née Prewett), and the older brother of Charlie, Percy, twins George and Fred, Ron and Ginny Weasley. He attended Hogwarts from September 1982 to June 1989, where he achieved the title of Prefect and Head Boy.

After graduating, he went to work for Gringotts, helping remove curses from the pyramids in Egypt. In 1995, he returned to England to join the Order of the Phoenix and confront Lord Voldemort. During the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, Bill was severely injured by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback. He did not become one, but adopted some of his characteristics (e.g., eating raw meat). In 1997, he was attacked by Death Eaters while on vacation. Bill had to move to Shell House, where he helped Ron, Hermione, and Harry escape from the Death Eaters at Malfoy Manor. Like the rest of the Order of the Phoenix, he fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and survived. He is part of a world that is divided into two realities: one where life is just like in the real world, and the other where magic, mystical animals, flying broomsticks, and the sport Quidditch exist.
