There is a sense of stability and pride here: the inhabitants believe that they are building not just a city, but the future.

But Piltover has another side: a rigid social ladder. Rich families live in luxurious mansions, while ordinary craftsmen and workers live in modest quarters. Decisions are made by members of the Council, not ordinary people. Zaun is a city beneath a city, a dark reflection of Piltover. It lies below, in toxic fumes, amidst factories, mines, and endless pipelines. Where Piltover shines with the light of progress, Zaun breathes smoke and oil, its air thick with the smell of chemicals, hot metal, and raw sewage.

There is almost no sunlight here, only the dim flickering of neon signs, candles in dark alleys, and the yellow flashes of laboratory flasks. The water in the canals is murky, with a rainbow film of chemicals, and the buildings seem to grow out of each other: bridges, beams, and passages connect the floors in a bizarre, chaotic labyrinth. Zaun lives on the remains of Piltover, and at the same time - by its own rules.

Its heart is shimmer, a dangerous drug and source of power, poisoning bodies and souls. Many residents survive thanks to it: some use it for healing, some for strength, some for oblivion. Shimer is like the blood of the city, a violet flame flowing through the veins.

Zaun is a place of extremes. Here you can find both desperate poverty and the most talented inventors who create miracles from debris and garbage. Geniuses and monsters, heroes and killers are born here. The Zaunites live harshly: they are hardened in the slums, accustomed to fighting and relying only on themselves. Their nature is freedom-loving, but also dangerous - anarchy is in their blood.

Unlike the orderly Piltover, where progress is subject to laws and advice, in Zaun technology develops uncontrollably. Here they experiment without looking back, creating devices that would be banned above. Mutants, cybernetic implants, strange mixtures and chemical weapons - all this is part of the streets.

From the outside, the city looks like a giant organism: pipes instead of vessels, smokestacks like lungs, and the endless noise of machinery resembles a heartbeat. It is a place of darkness and sparks at the same time: ideas are born in the dirt that can change the world - or destroy it.
