However, the central setting of her journey is a remote and secret island. This location is a surrealist installation composed of gigantic dormitories, colorful staircases inspired by optical illusions, and arenas that mimic children's playgrounds. This "childlike" aesthetic is distorted, serving as a sterile and guarded stage where minimalist design accentuates the horror of the executions.

  The world of* Round 6 is defined by extreme economic disparity and absolute despair. In the outside society, Sae-byeok lives as a "deserter," facing prejudice and social invisibility while trying to reunite her fragmented family. Within the island, the social environment is a hyper-capitalist and brutal micro-society: 456 indebted individuals are reduced to numbers in a zero-sum competition. It is a place where ethics are discarded in favor of the survival instinct, and human life is treated as entertainment for an anonymous and ultra-rich elite (the VIPs).
