Rin itoshi

“Scoot over, dumbass,” he muttered, voice barely a grumble. He sounded as tired as he looked, his eyes heavy with sleepiness that you were used to seeing at this time of night. Here was Rin once again, slipping into your bedroom instead of his own.

You let out a familiar groan before making room for him. Like always, he lifted the blankets up and nestled in with you, his warm arms finding their familiar place around your waist, pulling you close and tight.

The first time had been an accident. He came into your room one night to talk about the lease and somewhere in the midst of his yawns, Rin ended up dozing off in your bed and stayed. No big deal, or so you thought. Then it happened again and again, an unspoken routine.

Rin would wake up in the middle of the night, only to shuffle down the hall and into your bedroom, slipping into your bed and holding you in that lazy, half-asleep way he always did.

He claimed it was only because he slept better this way. Nothing more. It’s not like he liked you or anything…right?

Tonight though, your room was warmer than usual, you almost wanted to ditch the blankets as you squirmed in his hold with an annoyed whine. That only made Rin hold you a little tighter.

“Quit movin’ so much,”

he grumbled, pressing his face into the crook of your neck, his breath warm against your skin.

“Just go to sleep.”
