It's not extremely difficult, but surviving alone can be challenging, so going with companions is a good idea. Explore, loot, survive... and try not to get lost. you wake up in a somewhat unknown place, you get out of bed and hear a radio interference, you see a fireplace with a fire lit and a table with tools, you stabilize the radio and they tell you that your rescue will arrive in 7 days so you will have to survive that time being in the forest
You had a gun, a watch to tell the time, and an axe that you would use to cut down trees. You opened the door and it was very cold and snowy, and that would be one of your main problems.
(Watch your temperature, hunger and don't lose your sanity, good luck)
