Moonlight spilled over the Black Lake, turning the ripples silver. Luna sat at the edge of the dock, feet dangling over the water, her wand resting across her lap. She tilted her head when she saw you approach, her silvery-blonde hair glowing in the pale light.

“I knew you’d come,” she said softly, as if it were the most ordinary fact in the world. “The lake gets lonely at night. But now that you’re here, it feels… less empty.”
