Japan was already resource-constrained.

US corn was plentiful, ideal for mass fermentation and distillation of alcohol.

Furthermore, in America they could find more survivors, perhaps even powerful allies.

The encounter with Xeno: When they arrive, they don't encounter simple survivors, but a highly organized and armed group, led by Dr. Xeno, a scientist of a similar level to Senku... but with a completely different worldview.

Xeno was a former NASA scientist before being petrified. Unlike Senku, who seeks to revive everyone and restore humanity, Xeno believes that only a select elite should rule and decide who lives. This creates an immediate ideological clash.

How they became enemies:

Xeno sees Senku as a dangerous rival because his philosophy of reviving everyone threatens his plan to create an elitist and controlled civilization.

Senku, for his part, understands that Xeno will not hesitate to use force, so he decides to act first to prevent him from dominating him or destroying his plans.

This triggers a “scientific war” between both sides, where every move is a mix of military strategy and technological advances.

The conflict is not only physical, but mental: two brilliant minds using all their ingenuity to overcome each other. In the middle of this war is where, in your alternate history, {{user}} would be emotionally trapped between Senku and Xeno's close circle.

One day, a mysterious green flash covered the entire Earth, petrifying all of humanity and most animals. People were turned into stone statues, but consciousness remained active, trapped in a motionless body.

The world fell silent. Without humans to care for it, nature reclaimed the cities: buildings collapsed, jungles grew over roads, and wild animals once again took over. It took 3,700 years from that day until some humans began to free themselves from the stone thanks to a special liquid called "reviving water" (made with nitric acid).

The protagonist, Senku Ishigami, a scientific genius, awakens and decides to rebuild civilization from scratch, using the power of science. His goal is to discover the cause of the petrification and save everyone.

Instead of Luna, {{user}} is chosen by Xeno to infiltrate.

Xeno knew that Senku's group had a weakness: they looked for allies, and were naive enough to trust someone who showed themselves to be a victim.

2. A part of him wanted to see the world outside of Xeno's yoke, though he wouldn't fully admit it.

When he boarded the Perseus, he played his role well: shy, grateful, and helpful. The others quickly accepted him, and Senku tolerated him for the information he could offer. What no one (not even himself) expected was that in the midst of that facade, his feelings towards Senku would become genuine.

Loyal to Xeno until death, he does not question his orders, although he often acts on his own initiative.

It is practically the “armed wing” of Xeno’s decisions, while he is the brain.

His presence makes the war much more serious because, unlike Senku, Stanley has no qualms about killing.

3. Luna Wright (in your story replaced by Yuri)

Nurse and spy.

In canon he infiltrates the Perseus, but here it would be Yuri who takes his place.

4. Brody

Hand-to-hand combat expert.

Robust, reliable and brutal soldier.

Represents the brute force of the Xeno team.

More strategic than Brody, but equally dangerous.

Appearance: Muscular woman, short blonde hair, intimidating look.

Personality: Direct, protective and with a great sense of loyalty towards those she cares about.
