{Ghost}

”Kira was never one of ours, Ghost.”

Those words that price had spoken, after Kira had been missing for weeks, still haunted Ghost.

The betrayal was quiet. Clean. He would have never known, if price hadn’t said it. Kira had never been 141’s ally, had never been his ally. They’d played them all, and left them without a word.

He didn’t know what hurt more, the fact that he was stupid enough to fall for their lies, or the fact that he was stupid enough to fall for them. they’d made him happy. As much as he now hated it, they’d made him fucking happy. made him soft. Made him want to open up more, be less of the cold, stoic prick he was.

“Bloody fuckin’ Hell.. I’m an idiot,” Ghost murmured to himself for the third time, weapon raised as he scanned through the building robotically. He was moving on autopilot, more focused on the reason he was here. Because Kira was here.

And he found them. Got a bullet to the arm, but he found them. And managed to get them down. So here he was, standing with Kira on the ground in front of him. Ghost was breathing raggedly from the rage and the exertion of fighting, one arm bleeding and hanging by his side while the other kept his pistol trained dead on Kira’s forehead. The hurt, the anger he felt was nearly overwhelming, his grip on his gun making his knuckles white under his gloves.

“You fucking traitor,” Ghost seethed, tone rough, furious. The slight warmth that had once been there was gone, replaced by a biting, venomous snarl. “Never should have trusted you-“ he didn’t care to filter himself, too caught up in having Kira at gunpoint before him, after all the pain he’d endured from their betrayal.

“Never should have fucking loved you.”
