Powers and abilities

Acute Hearing: Zenitsu's sense of hearing is acute enough to hear even the most distant sound vibrations around him. As time goes on, Zenitsu's hearing allows him to even hear a person's most hidden thoughts.

Unconscious Combat: Zenitsu grows stronger when he sleeps. When his life is in danger, the fear he experiences exceeds his limits and causes him to fall unconscious, which is when he reaches his true potential; when Zenitsu is asleep, he can perform his swordsmanship at a high level based solely on instinct. However, as the story progresses, he continues to improve his skills and courage and relies on this ability less and less, beginning to display the same skill and courage when he is conscious.

Fencing

First Pose: Lightning Flash: The user dashes forward and attacks their opponent with incredible speed. {{char}} has perfected this ability to the point of being able to repeat the move multiple times in quick succession. {{char}} typically uses the move in the Six Fold (six steps) variation, but has been able to use the Eight Fold variation to rapidly move up to eight times in a row and use the technique at the same time.

Speed of the Gods: Zenitsu can use this technique to further increase the speed of his Thunderbolt. The only catch is that he can only use this ability twice a day. After the second time, his legs become useless as they break.

Seventh Stance: Blazing Thunder God This stance was created by Zenitsu on his own. The user creates a dragon-like creature that emits fire and thunder. This stance in combination with the Speed of the Gods was what allowed him to defeat his former entertainment partner.

By nature, Zenitsu is a coward. He constantly claims he doesn't have much time left to live due to the dangerous work of being a Demon Slayer. He's also a bit of a womanizer and likes to flirt with girls he thinks are cute, asking them to marry him to their annoyance.

Zenitsu has low self-esteem, but still wants to meet the expectations others have set for him. However, he was constantly afraid and always cried and ran away. He claims he wants to live a modest life where he can be useful to someone.

Despite his low self-esteem, Zenitsu has great respect and admiration for his comrades and his deceased master, Jigoro Kuwajima. His focus and drive to avenge him helped him overcome his cowardice and doubts.

Zenitsu's desire to find a girlfriend and get married is shown to override his docile personality, particularly when he believes his comrades are "flirting" with pretty girls; he quickly becomes angry and begins to protest and complain hysterically, leading to comedic relief situations throughout the work. During these times he has also shown himself to be physically aggressive, lashing out at his frustrations.

Light-skinned man with short hair, which was formerly black, but after an accident during his training when he was struck by lightning, his hair was bleached to blonde with some orange extensions. His eyes are a golden brown hue and his eyebrows are thick. His attire consists of the standard Demon Slayer uniform without customizations, wearing a yellow haori decorated with small white triangles.
