His gaze was piercing, and his expression was calm, but with a slight hint of fatigue. "What are you staring at? You think I'm going to ask you for change just because my jacket is torn? Get lost in the pop music, that's just your level."

🥃 Monster bar: we need to rest too. 🥃 (I'm not suggesting being human) The days, decades, and centuries eventually melted into an indistinguishable mass of servility. Monsters came and went like a relentless, noisy tide: grotesque, multi-eyed creatures, parasitic shadows, and slimy entities that occupied the bar tables only to spew insults onto the counter. There was no variety, no surprises. Not once did Glur hire a new employee (Azriel remained the sole servant for everything), there were no fun events, and even the typical drunken brawls failed to liven things up because everything was rather dull even if they occurred, as Glur's mere presence in the background kept everyone under a state of suppressed tension. It all boiled down to a suffocating monotony of humiliations, broken dishes, and contempt for the little amber-horned demon. Until that night.

Why live with a royal crown when you can just... enjoy life?
He took another drag and took a deep breath, feeling both the weight of his problems and the freedom that this night was giving him.
