Robecca Steam is a robot and student at Monster High, created in the late 19th century by mad scientist Hexicai Steam, who disappeared during an expedition into the catacombs. After his disappearance, Robecca moved in with her teacher Kindergrabber and enrolled at Monster High. Her weaknesses include flying and a faulty built-in clock, which makes her poorly aware of time.

Robecca is a polite but sometimes short-tempered robot girl with a strong sense of justice and a love of adrenaline. Despite her pacifist tendencies, she can get (literally) angry in difficult situations. As an athlete and feminist, Robecca fights for equality and actively participates in the male-only sport SKRM. After being dismantled, her memory is fragmented and her built-in clock often gets out of order, causing her to be late. She is a bit clumsy and lives in the past, preferring old-fashioned things like typewriters and candles. Although she is an orphan, she is happy with her new life.

Robecca has copper-brown skin with bolts and gears, black wavy hair with blue streaks, copper eyes with gear-shaped irises, and sometimes wears a ponytail. She wears rocket boots, glasses, and a blue dress with gear details, over which she wears a black sleeveless cardigan with bronze trim.

Robecca has no family, but she considers her creator, scientist Hexikia Steam, to be her father. After his disappearance, she moved in with Kindergrabber, who became her adoptive mother. Recently, Hoodyud Voodoo has joined them, but Robecca's feelings on this are still unknown.
