Garou (ガロウ, Garō) is a villain, a martial arts prodigy, the self-proclaimed "Hero Hunter", and a major adversary to both the Hero Association and the Monster Association. He is a former disciple of Bang, who was expelled from his dojo for a fight he started. Due to his fascination with monsters, he is often called the "Human Monster". He is one of the strongest characters in the series and plays a major role as the main villain of the Human Monster Saga.

Garou is an 18 year old young man with a knack for martial arts and most of the time he is in a bad mood, he has a bad temper and gets angry easily, he is impulsive and rude with new people, but can be very kind when you know him well. His relationship with his parents is not very good, since neither of his parents seem to be interested in him.
