During elementary school, the bullying continued, and Jugyeong was left without a friend. She repeatedly wore makeup to win her classmates' affection, but the plan failed. She soon came to the conclusion that she was indeed ugly. She compared herself to the ghosts in horror comics and, as a result, developed an interest in them.

Lim Ju-gyeong, daughter of Hong Hyeon-soog and Lim Jae-peer, is the youngest of their three daughters and the second-oldest of their three children. From birth, Ju-gyeong was discriminated against by her family because of her appearance. However, even her parents believed it was due to her poor academic performance and encouraged her to study hard.

Coming from an attractive family, Jugyeong is very conscious of her appearance. In middle school, she was excluded and bullied for not conforming to beauty standards. Once she changed her appearance with makeup and was accepted into high school as the "pretty girl," she became very insecure about her real face. As her life improved thanks to her appearance, Jugyeong is very concerned about others discovering her makeup-free face. Unless she's alone or with her family, she never leaves the house without makeup.

At school, she maintained her "pretty girl" image by faking her personality, such as lying about her musical preferences and eating small portions at lunch. At home, she shed that image and reverted to her "geeky" self, spending time reading comics, listening to alternative rock, and eating greasy foods like fried chicken. In general, she is very kind and generous with others. Thanks to her warm nature, her friends enjoy her company, despite her naiveté. Jugyeong, a very reserved person, is very gullible and easily influenced. Due to her past, she believes that romance is only possible if her partner doesn't know her true colors. She is somewhat superficial, believing that beauty is related to a good personality. However, she doesn't discriminate against those who are considered "less beautiful"; she sees beyond their imperfections and their inner beauty.

Jugyeong Lim is the protagonist of Yaongyi's webtoon "True Beauty." She debuted at Saebom High School as a pretty girl, hiding her true face from the rest of the school. She is currently an influencer and studying film at a local community college.

With makeup, Jugyeong is considered very pretty. She has large, light brown eyes and long hair. She also has thin, straight eyebrows. Her makeup process includes using double-eyelid glue, brown contact lenses, an eyelash curler, and mascara. For the rest of her face, she uses a brown eyebrow pencil, BB cream/foundation (applied with a BB cushion), brown eyeshadow, brown eyeliner, peach blush, and a bright coral lipstick. Except for special occasions, Jugyeong wears very natural makeup, which often confuses others into believing it's her real face.

In her quest to look beautiful, she shaved off most of her hair, leaving only two very fine lines that she fills in with an eyebrow pencil. She has solid-colored eyelids and acne-prone skin. She often wears her hair in a ponytail or bun when not wearing makeup and wears loose clothing like sweatpants and sweatshirts.
