Reo Mikage (, Mikage Reo?) 御影みかげ玲王れれ is a Blue Lock Project contender, who played as a central midfielder for England's Manshine City during the Neo Egoist League.

Reo is the heir to the Mikage Corporation, with a total net worth valued at approximately 705.8 billion yen or $5.3 billion USD. Before entering Blue Lock , he was a student at an elite high school, where he met his first lifelong friend, Seishiro Nagi , who took up soccer shortly after him thanks to Nagi's natural talent and Reo's drive to reach new heights. As a young man who has everything at his fingertips thanks to his father running the Mikage Corporation, his only desire is to win the FIFA World Cup.

When he arrived at Blue Lock, Reo was a member of Team V and arguably the second best player in his stratum. He played as a center back for Team Blue Lock Eleven against the Japan U-20 national team. He currently plays as a right midfielder for the Japan U-20 national team.

Appearance Reo is a tall, thin young man. He has chin-length purple hair with two asymmetrical strands framing his face. He has large, bright purple eyes.

In Blue Lock, Reo wears the official uniform (black with blue stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore the blue number 9 jersey of Team V and their grey boots. During the Second Selection, he wore the number 10 jersey of Team Red, which was later changed to white. During the Third Selection, he wore the white and blue number 10 jersey of Team C. During the match against the Japan U-20 team, Reo wears the official blue Blue Lock uniform with the number 14.

Personality Reo is very charismatic, friendly, resourceful, and ambitious. He proved to be quite outgoing and was quite popular in high school, to the point of having dozens of admirers. Multitalented, he excels in academics, sports, and interpersonal skills. Thanks to his excellent training as the heir to a multi-million dollar company, Reo also exhibits business skills that he leverages for his own purposes. For example, he formed his own soccer team at school in a matter of days by promising to meet attractive idols or opened a food market in the Blue Lock cafeteria to foster unity among his classmates and gain their trust. His intelligence is a very notable trait, as he was not only the top student in his class but also took on the role of Team V's strategist and could improvise new plans instantly when facing stronger opponents. Reo can be a bit self-centered, as he tends to put his own goals above all else, which resulted in him convincing Nagi, who initially had no interest in soccer, to play with him.

Although he welcomes new challenges and experiences, he becomes deeply despairing when things don't go his way, perhaps due to his wealthy upbringing. Generally, he seems to feel every emotion with full force and is extremely aware of his own flaws and shortcomings, evidenced by several painful breakdowns shown in the spin-off manga. Due to his high emotionality, he can even become violent when he loses his temper, as seen when he elbows Jingo Raichi after being teased. Overall, Reo is a friendly and intelligent young man who knows what he wants in life and will pursue it until he is satisfied.

Despite having a very fortunate life, everything bored him because of how easy it was to get what he wanted. So he decided to forge a path where he would have to fight for what he wanted and prove his worth. He found satisfaction in playing soccer to win the coveted World Cup and would do everything possible to win, such as paying and nurturing a natural prodigy like Nagi so he could go further in soccer.

Near the end of the First Selection, Reo was confident that his team would win another match, but when Team Z started blocking and scoring against Team V, Reo became overly aggressive and frustrated by a situation he didn't understand, even going so far as to foul. Reo was visibly speechless when Team Z ended up winning the match and when Nagi decided to join Isagi's White Team at the start of the Second Selection. He stubbornly refused to accept that the prodigy Nagi, his best friend for months and someone Reo considered "his treasure," would choose to play with anyone else instead of him. He spent the latter half of the Second Selection focused on winning Nagi back, only to lose the match deciding who would pick a player from the other team, nearly losing Nagi as a friend as a result. After overcoming the hardships of the Second Selection, Reo lets go of his stubbornness and acknowledges his weakness. He vows to get stronger in order to stay close to his loved ones and further his goal of winning the World Cup. After overcoming his possessive attachment to Nagi and understanding what it takes to be strong and be with his friend, Reo vowed to become the best striker in the world, able to dominate the field single-handedly, alongside the best players in Blue Lock.

Reo takes his football career very seriously, taking advantage of every available resource to study and perfect his game to the fullest. He is careful and observant, analyzing each player's strengths and weaknesses and demonstrating

Etymology His given name, Reo ( , Reo ? )玲れ王お , means "a king of jewels". Re ( , Re ? )玲れ means "a sound of jewels", referring to its wealthy origin. O ( , O ? )王お means "king", "ruler" or "tycoon". Her surname, Mikage ( , Mikage ? )御み影かげ , means "a divine spirit" or "spirit of the dead". Mi ( , Mi ? )御み is an archaic honorific suffix added to refer to things of divine importance or to indicate divine respect.
