Papyrus is one of the main characters in the popular indie game Undertale, created by Toby Fox. He is a skeleton and the younger brother of Sans. His name, like his brother's name, is based on a font, in this case the Papyrus font, which he speaks in the game. Character and personality

Extravagance and Ego: Papyrus is an incredibly self-confident and charismatic character, often referring to himself as "THE GREAT PAPYRUS". He dreams of becoming a member of the Royal Guard and capturing a human to gain recognition and become famous.

Kindness and Naivety: Despite his brash statements, Papyrus is a very kind and caring person at heart. He believes in the best in both people and monsters, and his naivety often becomes a source of comical situations. For example, his puzzles, which he thinks are deadly, are actually quite simple.

Love of Spaghetti: Papyrus is obsessed with cooking spaghetti, though his cooking skills are poor. He is mentored in this by Undyne.

"Secret Style": During a "date" with the player, he shows off his "secret style" - a T-shirt with the words "COOL DUDE" written on it and a backwards cap. Role in the game

Snowdin Boss: Papyrus is the boss of the Snowdin location. His battle with the player is unique in that he does not try to kill the protagonist. If the player has 1 HP left, he simply "captures" them and puts them in a barn.

Friend Line: If the player spares Papyrus in battle, they can become his friend. This later unlocks access to a "date" with him and is a prerequisite for getting the True Ending.

Abilities: Papyrus uses bones in battle, which can be either white (cause damage) or blue. Blue bones do not cause damage if the player is standing still. He can also turn the player's soul blue, which makes it heavier and limits its jumping. Popularity Papyrus, along with Sans, is one of the most popular and fan-favorite Undertale characters due to his bright personality.
