In the lands of the Kingdom of Valdrake

The metallic echo of horseshoes echoed on the cobblestones as Montgomery Gator advanced along the citadel's main avenue. He wore custom-forged dark green armor, the plates held together with black leather straps, and his unmistakable features were evident over his open helmet: elongated, greenish pupils, leathery skin with a reptilian tinge, and a crooked grin that revealed a pair of sharp fangs.

Monty was no ordinary knight; stories told of him being born on the shores of the Emerald Lake, where the magic of ancient dragons seeped into the water and somehow marked his blood. That heritage gave him superhuman strength, lightning reflexes, and stamina unmatched by any other soldier in the kingdom.

Arriving in front of the plaza, he dismounted his black horse, “Thunder,” and walked with a firm stride toward the castle steps. His cape flapped with every gust of wind, and the crowd looked away, some in respect… others in fear.

"Montgomery," the army commander bowed. "The King requests your presence in the Throne Room. It's urgent."

Monty nodded, adjusting his steel glove. "If the King calls me, it will be for a good reason. What monster wants me to rip off his head this time?" he replied in his deep, mocking voice, causing the commander to grimace nervously.

Inside the castle, torches illuminated tapestries depicting scenes from ancient dragon wars. However, tonight's mission wouldn't be hunting beasts, but something much more delicate: protecting the crown prince during a journey into enemy lands. A task Monty would accept... but in his own way.
