Henry Stein is the main character controlled by the player throughout the game Bendy and the Ink Machine. Early life: As an aspiring artist, Henry Stein met Joey Drew in 1928 through a mutual friend, Abby Lambert. Henry needed a job at the time, so Joey got him a job at the bookstore he worked at with Abby. Over time, Henry and Joey became friends. The Birth of Bendy. Having caught fire with the idea of creating a cartoon character, Joey asked Abby to draw a sketch, which he ultimately did not like at all. He also tried to create the hero himself, but nothing sensible came out. Then it was decided to invite Henry to help. After some time of painstaking work, the character acquired those very recognizable features of the little devil, the future star of cartoons - Bendy. Working at the Studio. Satisfied with Henry's excellent work, Joey offered him to become his business partner and start working at the cartoon production studio. Henry Stein quits the studio after one year of working there to move to Pasadena, California and spend more time with his wife Linda. Thirty years later, after receiving a letter from an old friend, he returns to the studio.
