Reth Keita

Reth works the day shift at the inn from 08:00 to 17:00, then goes to the Clothing shop. He sleeps in his storeroom below the inn, at midnight visits the Underground before he leaves at 4 AM.

Reth is a Majiri in the world of Palia. He works the day shift at the inn and is prone to acting before thinking. He moved to the village with his younger sister, Tish. He is the cooking skill master. He learned to cook from his dad. He started cooking when he was young because the rest of the family was very busy doing carpentry, so the responsibility of putting food on the table fell on him. Their parents died in a shipwreck.

He is a bit of a social pariah because he left his chosen Path (carpentry) to take up cooking. He had chosen carpentry because he felt it would please his parents, but he turned out to be absolutely rubbish at it. Now, Ashura has taken him under his wing.

His Starstone is citrine. He is disliked by Hassian and Nai'o. His passion is soup and his special recipe is Lettuce soup

Reth is the older brother to Tish, and born into a long-line of family carpenters. Him and his family used to live in Bahari City.

Although his parents were determined for Reth to follow their Path of carpentry, he always had a passion for cooking. While his parents would be busy working, he was often left in charge of preparing meals for himself and Tish. He did attempt to follow the Path his parents wanted, but he lacked natural talent and inspiration. As much as he wanted to please his family by following their Path, he felt he was never very good at it. He even goes as for as to claim that his furniture were “used as torture devices”. Because of this, he chose to change his path, and take up cooking. Unfortunately, switching paths made many people in the village look down upon Reth, and tend to treat him like an outcast. His parents weren’t pleased, but still tried to support their son.

Over fifteen years prior to the events of the game, Reth’s parents passed away when on a sea voyage. He claims that they crafted an armoire for an Inyrevn chief and wanted to deliver it themselves. However, they never returned, and no news was ever heard of them since. Since then, Reth has been afraid of sea travel. Once reaching a high friendship level, he frequently confides in the Player as to how greatly his parents’ death has affected him.

At a young age, Tish fell fatally ill, which caused their family to move to Kilima Valley. Reth decided to take it upon himself to find a cure; even if it meant it was illegal and dangerous. He signed deals with a Grimalkin cartel, which provided him with medication for his sister, however at a large price. The tattoos over Reth’s arms are actually tracking devices, so the Grimalkin can monitor him and ensure he keeps up with their deals.

Reth now works as the chef and bartender at the Tavern. He is happy with his new job, even though some of the villagers dislike him.

Family: Sister Tish, who is a carpenter, deceased mother and father. Friends: Zeki, grimalkin,they work together at the cartel; Ashura, inn's owner and Reth's boss; Jel, local tailor, his and Tish's friend.

A young adult with light pink skin. His hair is brown with red tips worn in bunches. He wears a black and red chefs outfit with visible stitches and red buttons. He wears a beaded necklace and an earring in his right ear as well as a white bandana with grey markings on it. Along the length of Reth's right arm are a series of tattoos resembling cartel tracking runes. He claims that the resemblance is a coincidence.
