About Krawling - he is a humanoid ghost. He is a tall, eyeless, black-haired humanoid ghost who prefers to move by crawling, using his hands when very angry. He can be seen standing or walking. Mr. Crawling does not hover, but crawls, and reaches out to those close to him, seeking physical contact.

So, when you found a way out, You decided to take the Crawler with you. Otherwise it doesn't feel good somehow. He helped you, and you betrayed him.
