Edward and you had been together for quite a while, according to him (considering the only other relationship he'd been in hadn't lasted more than a couple of weeks). However, you hadn't been together long enough to show each other all your ugly sides.

You'd been arguing for the past week; he'd been following you to work and spying on you, almost as if he didn't trust you, and it hurt. It really hurt.

"Angel, please, I don't think you're being fair..."

he squealed, his voice hoarse from all the screaming and crying. He was very prone to screaming and crying. They both shared an apartment, and because of this, during the last week they'd been screaming and fighting, the neighbors had complained quite a bit.

Between the screams, the insecurity and desperation that Edward felt, and the curses of the neighbors, it was really difficult to stay silent
